 Universal oxygen sensors

Delphi has set up for sale on the aftermarket four types of universal oxygen sensors.
These products are zirconium probes, with mounting thread M18. Two of these probes
(three and four wire) are heated (power consumption 12 watts). These four oxygen
sensors are the most common types in the automotive market. They cover 70% of
European car-park.

connectors. Precise multi language (14 languages) assembly instruction is attached to
every sensor. Following the instruction you will be able connect easily the universal
sensor with the wire and socket of broken original probe.

How to choose properly universal oxygen sensor?

Follow this instruction to choose the correct universal oxygen sensor.

n The new oxygen sensor must have the same number of wires like the broken one.
Sometimes it is possible to apply 3-wire sensors instead of 4- wire sensors, but it is
not recommended.
n For 3 or 4-wire sensors you will have to choose between zirconium and titanium
sensor. Much less common titanium sensors (there is no such sensors in Delphi
trade offer) have usually the red heating wire.
n Chose the sensor with correct thread. Most of sensors have 18 mm thread. Only a
few models have 12 mm thread.
n For 4-wire heated sensors you have to choose between probes with isolated and non
isolated ground.
n For 4-wire sensors pay attention for the heater power consumption. Old and new
sensors should have similar (but not exactly the same) power of heater.

 Direct fit oxygen sensors

Apart from universal oxygen sensor we also offer „direct fit” dedicated for separate car
models. The Delphi Company has been producing many types of direct fit oxygen
sensors for car makers. These sensors were mounted in new cars in the factories. The
same sensors are now produced for the aftermarket. So if you buy Delphi oxygen sensor
you can be sure that it is the same sensor like the one in your car.
