Marketing is the backbone of any company whether the company is any

FMCG company, consumer durable company or any pharmaceutical
company. The major task of marketing is not to launch any brand but lead
to the ultimate sale and generate revenue for the company. Marketing is a
very big term and it consists of many thing like launching new brand,
promoting the exiting the brand etc.

I also work upon the marketing strategies of all major pharmaceutical

company in the country like Ranbaxy, Sun pharma, Mankind Pharma etc.
But my major focus on the marketing strategies of CIPLA Ltd. I will try
to find out how Cipla is targeting their customer and consumer. For any
pharmaceutical company it is not possible to target their consumer
directly for this they are using some kind for marketing plan as well.

I will try to find out how cipla ltd. is using various marketing strategies
for various competitors present in the field of the medicines.
LITERATURE REVIEW
HIV/AIDS Treatment and Prevention in India: Modeling the Costs and
Consequences.
Mead Over, Peter Heywood, Julian Gold, Indrani Gupta, Subhash Hira,
Elliot Marseille
Published date:2004

In 2004 India has as many HIV-infected people as any country in the

world. And scientists tell us that an effective vaccine against AIDS is
unlikely for at least another decade. Yet there is hope that the devastation
of the AIDS epi- demic can be slowed and even reversed in India.
Awareness of the threat of AIDS and willingness to take precautions to
prevent infection have both improved dramatically since 1990, with
condom use on high-risk sexual contacts rising from almost zero in 1990
to 50 percent nationally and to up to 85 percent in some states. These
changes have already prevented millions of infections. Further increases
in condom use on high-risk contacts can prevent millions more infections.
