STUDY-LESSON NUMBER NINE

I am sure that you have been religiously doing the simple exercises
I have given you to do. If you have, there has come into your life
already one of the greatest experiences to come into anyone’s life.
That experience is the actual consciousness of the Power—or The
Spirit of God—IN YOU.
I have no way of knowing just to what degree The Spirit of God
has manifested Its Power in you, unless you have already written
me telling me about tjrat. I hope you have. You are welcome to write
me personally at any time. If I should be away from Moscow, some­
one else quite capable of answering your letter, will send you your
reply.
After having handled many millions of people though, I think I
am in a rather good position to make a guess. How much of The
Spirit of God, or the Power of God, has manifested in you depends,
of course, upon just how much faith you have manifested in the
invisible Realm of The Spirit of God. By “faith,” I mean that
dynamic prayer which actually sets into motion the forces of God,
for the actual manifestation of every good thing you can possibly
need in this life.
Now in this Ninth Lesson I shall open up the Realm of The Spirit
of God to you, wider than It has ever been opened before by anyone.
You will note in these Lessons that I do not theorize. I get right to
the very heart of the God question and I actually tell you, and
reveal to you, step by step, so that you can easily understand, just
what this invisible Realm of The Spirit of God actually is, and just
how it operates. That is information for which you have been seek­
ing all of your life. And now, for the first time in your life, you are
receiving that information.
I do not ask my Members to “believe” anything. I have very much
more than “belief” to offer them. I have the substance of the matter.
1 have the actual Power of God to reveal, and where a person can
get the actual experience with God, there is nothing he or she needs
to “believe.” We have seen that faith is a substance, and it is that
substance I always give to my Members. This is not a religious
“ faith." It is a religious Movement through which the actual Power
of God is being manifested to the world.
 Every Member is expected to be able to actually live, manifest,
and use the Power of God. If that cannot be done, of what use are
these studies ? But it invariably is done by those who study with me
to the last. After I have given to you all I have to give, if you cannot
then say, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you are in complete
union with God, and able to use the Power ,of God, there is some­
thing wrong with you. But there is nothing wrong with you. There
is nothing wrong with the human race, except that it does not
know of the existence of the Power of God living in the bodies of
the members of the human race. Just as soon as it discovers the
Truths of God, which Truths we are teaching (if it ever does), all
will be 'well. There will be no more wars, strife, or anything else
which is opposed to God.
To live with the complete knowledge of God in the life is to live
forever in the beauty, glory, and Power which must be God—the
invisible Creator of the universe. I have stressed to yOu many times
in these Lessons the invisibility of God. You now understand how
God cannot be anything other than Creative Life; Life capable of
existence with or without physical form. That is my definition of
God. Of course, wrapped up in that word “L IF E ” are a multitude
of other things which do not appear on the surface.
For instance, the Life which is God is omnipotent. It is omni­
present. It is omniscient. In those three definitions lies everything
any human heart can desire. Omnipotent really means “over-potent.”
It means, too, unlimited power, ability, and unlimited authority. It
means, too, that the one possessing omnipotence is almighty. Then,
if it is a fact, and it most certainly is, that the omnipotent Spirit of
God actually lives in your body, that just simply means that through
this omnipotent God living in you—YOU CAN BE ALM IGH TY
—depending to what degree you are able to contact and use the
omnipotent Power of God in you.
Now The Spirit of God in you is also omnipresent, and that
simply means that it is everywhere at the same time. It means that
there is not a single corner, nook, or cranny where the Spirit of God
is not. I do not know how far away the farthest planet is. Nor does
anyone else know, either. For with God there is no such thing as
either time or space. But if the farthest planet was a billion times
a billion times a billion light years away, there—everywhere—is
The Spirit of God.
You will see then how very impossible it is for you to get away
from God. You may not know of the presence of God in you. You

may not even suspect that God is anywhere near you. Just the same,
every thought which comes into your head, everything you do,
everwhere you go, there—is The Spirit of God. So then, in your
nightly exercises, never fear that you cannot find God. Never fear
that there is something you must do to bring God near to you. That
is not so. You could not keep the actual presence of God away from
you if you tried. So then, don’t try to bring God to you—instead—
ACT UPON T H E FA CT T H A T GOD IS ALREADY TH ERE,
IN YOU, AND TH A N K T H A T GREA T SPIRIT FOR HAV­
ING BROUGHT TO YOU TH E TH IN G S YOU SO VERY
MUCH DESIRE AND NEED. That is the way to manifest any­
thing from God.
Only a fool says there is no God, but you are not a fool. God then,
is omnipoent, omnipresent and omniscient. Now what does the
word “omniscient” mean? Well, that word simply means “having
all knowledge, or being infinitely wise.” Here again—you have all
power, ever-present, and all wisdom. What a combination for you
to possess in your physical body, is it not?
Now at this point I shall tell you something else about the Realm
of The Spirit of God, which you have never heard said before by
anyone, I believe. The Realm of The Spirit of God is a realm of
absolute and infinite silence. Please write that down. The Realm of
The Spirit of God is a realm of absolute and infinite SILENCE.
All the Power in the world, because God is omnipotent. A'l the
consciousness in the world, because God is omnioresent. All the
wisdom in the world, because God is omniscient. All the love,
peace, joy, happiness, health, wealth you can ever need, is tied up
in God, yet the realm of God is a realm of absolute silence. That is
the secret of the existence of God. That is the secret of the Power of
God. That is the secret of the love of God; and that is the secret of
the LIFE which is God. These are all silent in their operations. As
a result of these operations and manifestations, joy, shouting, and
other things may happen, all of which are not silent, such as the
crying of a baby. But the Life-Spirit which brought that baby into
existence—well, you did not hear T H A T at work, did you?
All the wisdom, power, and the many other things which really
do lie in the Realm of God—-you have never heard a single one of
them operate—have you? Of course not. Now there mav be a tend­
ency here at this point to underestimate the Power of God because
It is silent. But you must not do that. It would be a terrible mistake
it vou did.

 As we well know now, there is, locked up in atom and in the
cosmic ray, energy which can reduce this earth to rubble and prob­
ably will in time, if the knowledge you are receiving of the Power
of God is not universally found. These atomic bombs are made from
splitting atoms, which contain both protons and neutrons among
other things. Now then, while atomic energy is by far the most
awful kind of energy scientists have discovered, at the center of each
neutron and proton is ABSO LU TE SILENCE. There is a place
there, right in the midst of all this explosive energy, where there
reigns complete and absolute silence.
In the midst of all the omnipotence God has, and is, there is a
vast silence. In the middle of all the omnipresence which is God,
there is a vast and great silence. In the midst of all the omniscience
which is God, there lies a silence which is so supreme that you can
almost cut it with a knife.
Now this may take some studying out. You may have to think
this one through. But do it, because it is essential that you grasp this
one point well if you are to intelligently follow me in what I shall
have to say to you later on. A L L T H E OPERATIONS OF T H E
REALM OF GOD ARE DONE IN T H E SILENCE W HICH IS
GOD. At the heart of the typhoon there is a great calm. At the core
of the tornado there is a great peace. At the center of every human
life, there is God. AN D GOD IS IN T H E SILENCE. GOD IS
SILEN T. A LL T H E M ANIFESTATIO NS OF GOD ARE SI­
LEN T. GOD IS HIM SELF—COM PLETE AND ABSOLUTE
SILENCE. SILEN T POWER. SILE N T WISDOM. SILEN T
PEACE. SILEN T JOY. SILEN T HAPPINESS. SILE N T REST.
Perhaps your life has been blistered in the heat of this every-day
life. Perhaps it seems often that what you are called upon to bear is
a bit more than you should be called upon to bear. Perhaps it seems
that everyone else but you has the good things of life. Perhaps
illness mars your home; perhaps domestic intranquillity. Perhaps
financial stringency is there. It may be that your whole life seems to
be one grand, noisy, turmoil. If this is so, won’t you please remember
that at the very core of your being is A SILEN T GOD. IN WHOM
IS WRAPPED UP, RIGH T IN T H A T SILENCE. MORE
POWER, MORE PEACE, MORE WISDOM, MORE IN T E L L I­
GENCE, AND MORE W EALTH , TH A N YOU CAN EVER
NEED. A LL THIS, AND MORE, LIES AT TH E VERY CEN ­
TER OF YOUR BEING, W HERE GOD IS. T H E REASON

YOU HAVE NO T KNOW N TH IS IS BECAUSE T H E A CT­
UAL POWER OF GOD IS ALW AYS SILEN T.
If one were to ask me how it happens that there can be so much
power wrapped in so much silence, I shall say to that person that
the Power of God, all wrapped up as it is, in a great silence, IS A
VERY EXPLOSIVE POWER. For instance, suppose you are weak
and need power and strength in your life. Well you know that, at
the very core of your being, close to you as life BECAUSE IT IS
YOUR LIFE, lies The Power of God. You also know, from what I
have told you to date, that the Life of God which is in you, is omni­
potent—or full of Power. Then but one question remains, and that
is how you are going to make the SILE N T POWER which is the
God-Life in you, potent. How are you going to make a silent,
unheard Power, of immediate help to you?
The answer is that you are going to EXPLODE T H E SILEN T
POWER OF GOD IN YOU. Yes, I said “EXPLO DE.” But how
can you do that? Well, of course. I do not mean that you are going
to light a fuse and explode God. But, just as the silent core of the
atom can be exploded and made into the most fearful terror this
world has ever known, SO CAN TH E SILEN CE IN YOU,
W HICH ACTU A LLY IS ALM IGH TY GOD, BE EXPLODED
INTO DYNAMIC ACTION.
I am expecting to have to make a long automobile trip in a few
days. So this morning I took the car down to the service station to
have it serviced. When I called for it this evening, I said to the
attendant: “Did you check the battery water?” He replied in the
affirmative. While driving home I thought of the relationship that
little battery has to the energy which thrills my car, when I step on
the starter. I believe we can draw a Lesson from that simple little
battery.
Now, you know that the battery in my car, or your car, can sit
there until doomsday, and if no one steps on the starter or throws the
hand-switch, that battery will never start the car. It has the power
to—yes. But unless the positive and negative poles of that battery-
are joined by the switch, the battery is impotent. The car will not
start.
This is quite like the Power of God in your life, my friend. You
have in you, silent as the power in that battery, all the Power there
is in the Realm of God. It gives you life. It is your Life. Yet it is
silent. It is useless unless you connect the negative body you possess
with the positive Power of God in you. Unless you throw the switch

which joins up the negative you, with the positive God-Power, you
are helpless. Like that battery, you can stay there till the crows come
home, and so far as you are concerned, no power whatsoever will
manifest in your life. But throw the switch, and what happens?
That should be simple to answer.
The moment the switch is thrown which puts together the nega­
tive pole of your body with the positive pole of the Spirit of God in
you, your whole life becomes charged and surcharged with a Power
you have never known before. Like my Cadillac, the moment I
press on the starter switch, an ocean of power roars into action. The
whole car vibrates with the power under the hood. Yet all that
power was released by simply making a connection with the two
poles of the battery. The power in the battery is static, when the
car is not in motion. It is static before the switch is pressed. It is
useless power. But, when the switch is thrown, that static power
becomes at once DYNAMIC POWER, and the car moves forward.
Now as we have very clearly seen, the Power in you, which is
God, is omniscient in you. It is everywhere. It is so indelibly linked
up with your life that if the Power of God, or the Power of Life, is
taken away from you, you are useless. Your body dies, rots, decays.
Is that not so? Yet there is a static condition between your body and
the Spirit,of God which is your life. This is evident to all because
there are millions of men and women on this earth, in fact the very
great part of them, who live their lives without even the faintest
suspicion that there is in them, enough of the Power of God to
completely transform everything they do. They have the Power of
God in them just as you have it in you. But the Power of God in
them is static. They do not even know it exists.
It is as if you were to take a high-powered automobile out on
some Indian reservation, show it to some Indians who had never
seen a car in their lives before, and say to them: “Start that car.”
They never would be able to start the car, not knowing how. The
Power is there. The battery is there. The two poles are there. The
switch is there. But the Indians would not know how to start the
car. Then you step into it, throw the ignition switch, step on the
starter, and you change the static power in the battery to dynamic
power, and off goes he car. Yet, as in a human body, the batterv is
in the car. It is unseen, to be sure. But it is there nevertheless. Both
car and battery are there, and all that needs to be done to make
ready for a journey to wherever you wish is to get the power out of
the battery and into the car.
 Tha: is the very same way it is with the Power of God in the human race.
It has not yet discovered the Power it possesses, because the Spirit of God lives
in it. May God hasten the day when the human race finds that Power! Maybe
it will never find it. Maybe it’s too late already for this generation to find it.
Often, I believe, it is too late, which should impress you and I with the abso­
lute need of earnestness and untiring and unwavering loyalty to these truths
of God. I assure you, to the best of my knowledge, this is the only institution
through which the actual Spirit of God is working, on this earth. That is a lot
to say. Nevertheless, it is true. So then, shall we not together dedicate our whole
life to the spreading of this amazing gospel of The Spirit of God to the world
as speedily as possible? There is still a chance that this civilization can be
saved, no matter how black the picture looks at this moment.
Think of it— A L L T H E S IL E N T PO W ER T H E R E IS IN T H E R E A LM
O F GO D, W R A PPE D UP IN T H E L IF E YO U A N D I L IV E , O N L Y
W A IT IN G TO BE M A D E D Y N A M IC . It is silent because it is static. That’s
the way God operates. He has placed all the Power, Wisdom, Knowledge
necessary for anything and everything, within each of us. He puts that Power
there in a static condition, and He has made plain the way whereby we can
make it so dynamic that It can win the whole world for God. How can that
be done? Well, we are finding that out as every Lesson comes to you.
There is one phrase I like pretty well. It has a world of significance. Remem­
ber it at night, when you are approaching the point at which you will make
the static Power of God in you D Y N A M IC . The sentence is this: “ BE S T IL L
A N D K N O W T H A T I AM G O D .” It is found in Psalms 46:10, I believe it
is. So if anyone tells you that being still, and entering the Realm of The Spirit
of God as I recommend t, it is not natural, point out this passage of scripture.
It will make him “ be still,” I am sure.
When you become still, remember that the Power of God is a silent Power.
Remember, too, that the reason It is silent is because It is so dynamic. There
is so much spiritual dynamite in each one of us that it could explode the world
for God if we could but fathom It all. I very freely admit that I cannot fathom
it all. What little I have been able to fathom has been sufficient to make me
worthy to be chosen to girdle the globe with this message of “ salvation.” So
what cannot the Power of God make you who, in all probability, are far better
equipped than I am? You will never know until you explode the Power of God
in you by pressing on the switch and making the static Power of God in you—
D Y N A M IC . Don’t forget— T H E R E A SO N T H E PO W ER OF GO D IS
SO S IL E N T IS B E C A U S E IT IS SO S T A T IC . Write that in the little book
please. Then you make it dynamic.
How dynamic is the Power of God in you? Well, listen: Atomic energy is
made by throwing out of kilter the normal ratio of the protons, neutrons, and
electrons in the atom. It takes huge cyclotrons and vast plants to do that, or to
make a material which is fissionable. Now let me ask you something: What
do you suppose the Creator of the atom could do if He cared to, without
cyclotron? It staggers the imagination, does it not? Then never again ask
yourself the question if YO U can really contact God. Why, my friend, you are
so vitally connected with God that if you only suspected one ten-thousandth

part of this connection your whole life would be resplendent with Power and
Glory.
In one sense of the word, God is terrible. He is a terrible Power for men to
play fast and loose with. I don’t want to ever do that. I try to stay humble
before the awful Power of God. For the atomic bomb is of God. God created
the atom. He created the man who discovered atomic fission. He gave man the
power to investigate the scientific realm, which is always the Realm of The
Spirit of God, did He not? Then never again offer me, as the totality of God,
the somewhat asinine theory that if I don’t believe that Jesus rose from the
dead I am eternally damned. Never again try to tell me that all the truths of
God are wrapped up in the Bible of any system of religion.
Man is entering a new era. His complete ideas of God will have to change
or man will annihilate himself. The headlines in the papers have written on
the wall, and the handwriting is so very clear. Here are a few of them:
“ S C IE N C E — for L IF E or D E A T H .” “ O N E W O RLD or NO W O RLD .”
“ T H E A TO M IC BOM B—the E N D or R E B IR T H OF C IV IL IZ A T IO N ?”
Well the demonstration of atomic fission will be both the end and the begin­
ning. It will mean the end of old, moth-eaten, anthropomorphic travesties on
God. It will mean the end of such stories you and I have been offered as being
of God. It will be the beginning of a new world, but not until after man has
almost completely destroyed himself. The new world, which will come, will
not come because the atomic bomb has been manufactured, B U T B E C A U SE
T H E SP IR IT OF GO D IS TO BE M A D E K N O W N — IN A L L ITS
PO W ER—R IG H T H E R E ON E A R T H . That is the true significance of
atomic fission.
Think of it! One bomb, containing as much as 40,000,000 pounds of T .N .T .,
and such an explosive as that manufactured by the splitting up of a few atoms.
We were told that one bomb, terrible enough, killed 160,000 Japs and wounded
m 8, coo more. Now those Japs were human beings— remember that. They
were all made by the One Great Creator. Then, after the bomb had been
dropped, we were told that the energy released was only one-tenth of one
percent of the energy it contained. That means that had all the energy the
bomb contained been released, O N E H U N D R E D A N D S IX T Y M ILLIO N

no Power in the Realm of The Spirit of God. And don’t try to tell, me, either,
that The Spirit of God is going to allow man to handle such a monster as
atomic fission with its awful consequences, without at the same time giving to
some man a spiritual revelation or discovery of equal stupendous import.
Believe me when I say to you that such a revelation has already been made.
W H E N T H E PRO PER T IM E COM ES, T H E O NE H A V IN G T H A T
R E V E L A T IO N W IL L M A K E IT K N O W N . Then shall a nation be born
in a day. Then shall the whole world know that it has One Supreme Ruler—
T H E SP IR IT OF T H E L IV IN G GO D. Not Jesus. Not Buddha. Not

Chrishna. Not Osiris, or any of the other fantastic “ gods” of thousands of
years ago.
No. None of these. The revelation of the Power of God this earth is soon to
witness will be so far ahead of these “ virgin-birth and resurrection” stories
that many will feel ashamed of themselves for ever believing such perverted
ideas of The Almighty. No, my friend, there will be a new earth and a new
heaven, but they will only appear to be new. They will be new because men
and women, for the first time in the known history of the human race, will
have conscious knowledge of the existence of The Spirit of The Living God,
not only in them, but throughout the whole creation.
All these forces of God are in existence now. They exist in you and in me,
because the Spirit of the Living God lives in us. It is a fact that we live our
lives, in our bodies of flesh, only because the Spirit which is God lives in us.
Then if that be a fact, and it is, there must be, in us, all the Power there is in
the Realm of God.
This, my friend, is what I have been trying to drive home to you in every
Lesson you have received from me. This is what I shall be trying to drive home
to you when you receive the last Lesson in this series. It is all I know. It is all I
want to know. I am satisfied to know that God and I are un:ted in flesh and in
the Spirit, because the Spirit of God actually lives in me. What more wondrous
concept of Almighty God there be than this?
Is it not much better than a concept which tells us that Jehovah (Nothing
more than an old Jewish tribal god called Yahweh) will, in the “ last dav.”
descend from Heaven with great smoke, and fire, and flames and destroy His
enemies with a burning, fiery sword? Away with such as that, masquerading
as it dees under the name of God. Listen to me please: if th:s earth is destroyed,
with most of the human race, as a result of the discovery of atomic or cosmic
fission, it will be because man is wilfully destroying h’ mself not knowing of
the present existence of The Spirit of God in him. And the reason man does
not know of the existence of the Spirit of God in h;m is because those who
say they represent God on the earth—our churches— have not known God in
the first place, and therefore have never been able to bring the sublime truths
of God to the human race.
So what then have they brought us? An old-time philosophy of God which
was hoary with age long before Jesus or Christianity was ever heard of. Jesus,
the man, the Prophet, knew these truths when He was on the earth. He tried
to teach them to others. He failed. The “ religious” killed Him. Then, to make
an organization for themselves which should have much political and monetary
power, they made a “ god” out of the Messenger, told us that there were really
three gods and the three are one, and then, through fear of “ hell-fire” and the
“ judgment," they pulled those unable to think for themselves “ into the fold"
in great numbers. I could write a very interesting book on how they handled
“ the faithful" after they had them inside the “ fold.” But times are too desperate
for that now. I have all I can do in telling men and women all over the world
that there is “ salvation" for them now, simply by recognizing the very self-
evident fact that the Spirit of God lives and abides and exists— in us all.
Our churches don't like this sort of talk. It takes away from them their two
selling arguments. First, the depravity of man when born and, secondly, the

 need of a “ crucified god” to atone for the sins of man. When God created man,
He made a good man. A perfect man. He did not condemn him to hell-fire or
anywhere else. He filled that man with His own Life— His own Spirit— so man
had to be a good man. Then something happened. I’ll tell you in a later Lesson
what that was. In fact, if you have read carefully, you already know what it
was. Anyhow, man began to doubt God. He got away from God. Being a free­
will agent, man did this knowingly and willingly. And that is exactly the
manner in which man will recognize the God-ship of The Creator, when He
does. He will do it knowingly and willingly. There is little to be done. The
Spirit of God exists in man—NOW. When the human race recognizes that
fact, as it did once, T H E N W IL L T H E S E N SE O F T H E P H Y S IC A L
D ISA P P E A R , JU S T AS IT C A M E W H E N M A N G O T A W A Y FROM
GO D. After the sense of the physical has disappeared, what is left of man?
Why, only the consciousness of man in the Spirit of God. It makes no differ­
ence, as I have already explained, whether man has a body or not. If he has,
he will not be conscious of it. The body, therefore, can rightly be called a
“ spiritual” body. But the author is not interested in what sort of a body we
shall have when we again see the fullness and the glory of God, for he happens
to be too busy telling men and women of the present existence of the actual
Power of God in them— NOW .
“ Now is the accepted time. NOW is the day of salvation.” Not when Jesus
comes back. Not when the earth is destroyed, if it ever is, but NOW. Shall
we, while we are on this subject, take apart this word “ salvation” for a few
moments? Salvation from what? In man’s present condition, what is the only
thing he needs to be “ saved” from? There is but one thing and that is—

Is there anything else? I think not. Of course our religious organizations, true
to tradition, continue to bring to this earth a message of death. They continue
to tell men and women that they must be “ saved through the blood.” Bosh.
When the human race is finally saved it will be done intelligently and willingly.
It will be done when man C O N SC IO U SLY A N D W IL L IN G L Y B E L IE V E S

There is no other way which can even appeal to the one using the greatest gem
in the human mind—the gem of reason. Think it out, beloved. Let us get as
far away from this “ death” business as we can, as fast as we can. Let us enter
into the glorious Light of God, through believing in the actual existence of that
Light in us. That takes no believing. It is just common-sense. It is just plain,
simple logic. It is just simplicity itself.
Man has lost the conscious knowledge he once had of the presence of God.
Now man has to get back that lost knowledge. If what you have read in these
Lessons to date has not done that for you, then I don’t know what I’m doing.
But I do, as twenty years have proved that to my complete satisfaction and to
the satisfaction of hundreds of thousands of others.

I said, a little while back, that you and I must E X P L O D E GO D. Shall we
look at that statement for a few moments? It may sound fantastic, but we shall
see that it is nowhere near as fantastic as it seems. What is God? Spirit, o!
course. Well what is the invisible Life which is in you? Spirit, of course. One
belongs to the other and they both belong to each other, is that not so:

 Now here you are, manifesting on this earth as a physical body which
contains the Spirit of God. That Spirit, we have seen, is omnipotent, omni­
scient, and omnipresent. Which means that The Spirit of God in you knows
everything, is everywhere, and is all-powerful. Then what are we waiting for?
We are waiting for you learn how you can impress upon the vast ocean of
Power which is God the things the little bit of the Spirit of God in you knows
you need. B U T DOES T H E S P IR IT OF GO D IN YO U K N O W T H \ T
YO U N E E D T H E M ? Normally—NO — because, as I have previously said,
the whole human race has allowed The Spirit of God to go merrily on Its way,
not even recognizing the fact that this Spirit exists in man for the sole purpose
of bringing to man everything he can possibly need and, later on, bringing to
him—E T E R N A L L IF E in addition.
Now God is intelligent. Fie knows what things you have need of before you
ask Him. But He also knows when you don’t care for His presence, and God
also knows when man is so disinterested that he does not even take the time
to investigate and find out what and where God really lives. He knows when
man becomes so superstitious, and so shiftless, that he is perfectly satisfied to
pass over all his religious life to some priest or preacher, not being interested
enough to deal with God direct.
God knows all these things. And God, being intelligent, is not going to
force His Power down anyone’s throat. You can take It or leave It. The world,
for the past many thousands of years, has been leaving it. And believe me,
before you ever get The Spirit of God awakened to your need, God will have
to know that you mean business. He will have to see that you are in earnest.
He will have to be shown that, at long last, you actually have awakened to the
vast ocean of spiritual Force, Power, and Might there is in the Realm of God.
As things stand now, all you are doing is to allow God to keep you alive for
sixty or seventy years. Man has never known that the Life of God is Eternal
Life. Man has never known that the power he has in him, because of the Life
of God within him, is Eternal Power. Man has never known that the Great
Spirit which created this body lives in it, and has the abundant ability to keep
that body in perfect health throughout eternity, if needs be.
But the very moment that the Spirit of God in you is awakened, believe me
It will lose no time in getting in touch with the vast ocean of Power, which
is God, throughout the universe. Once you can change the static Spirit of God
in you to dynamic awakening, then you will discover that the awakening has
indeed been dynamic. Once you “ explode God’’ in you, your troubles are over.
Now how shall we do this?
The first thing you will have to do is impress upon the Spirit of God that
you are actually in earnest. That done, and when the Great Sleeping Giant of
Spiritual Power has been awakened, where you go from that point on is your
own affair. There is no limit to it. We have seen that both God and your Life
are Spirit. They arc the same Spirit. You have let the Lite of God in you sleep.
Now you have to awaken it to Its task. You will have to show God that you
really know that He exists in you. You will have to show God that you
E X P E C T Him to act as God should act and bring into your life a super­
abundance of every good and right thing.

 We have come to the place in which we quieten the physical body. We are
now waiting on God. We know what we want, and we are thanking God for
having that very thing close at hand. Now we explode the Spirit of God in us.
We impress upon that Great Spirit that we have finally awakened from our
lethargy and, from henceforth, we shall live our life in the full consciousness
of the actual Power of The Spirit of God in us.
I have asked you not to make spoken requests of The Spirit of God, and I
have based this upon the premise that God knows what are the things you so
much need in your life. I meant by that, the vast ocean of God throughout the
universe knows that. Now you have to awaken the Spirit of God within you
to that fact, and show the God in you that you mean business. It is now two
weeks since you began to thank your Father in you that He has heard you.
Now we are going to send the actual message across into the actual Realm of
the Father W IT H O U T YOU, T H R O U G H T H E F A T H E R W IT H IN
YOU. See what I mean?
I want you now to draw a clear mental picture of what it is you have need
of, and I want you to transmit that mental image R IG H T S T R A IG H T
IN T O T H E R E A LM OF T H E V A S T O C EA N OF POW ER W H ICH
IS GOD. You will do this by sending that clear, concise, picture out at night,
before you go to sleep. If it should be a new home, or a new car, or a more
vital physical or spiritual life, make a clear mental picture of that thing. Then,
in your quiet half-hour with God every evening, before you go to sleep and
while you are quietly relaxed, you will look right into the center of the “ bright-
area” and say these words, all the time picturing what you have need of in
your “ mind’s eye.” These are the words you will use: “ T H IS IS W H A T I
W A N T , F A T H E R .” You will keep that up until whatever it is you need
actually manifests in your life. It may take two weeks, two months, or two
years. But will manifest if vou “explode” God by getting vour desire into the
vast ocean of God-Power, B Y M EA N S OF T H E SP IR IT OF GO D W H ICH
IS IN YOU.
You will keep this up until you go to sleep. You will do it night after night.
You will'be in earnest. You will, that is, if you really want this thing anil if
you know God can prov ide it for you. Now let us see whether this is scientific
or not. You know that there is enough of what we shall call "radio-activity" in
the atoms of which your body is comprised, lar bevond what you have ever
suspected. It is not really “ radio-activity," hut we shall call it that for want of a
better name at this time. Later, I expect to show you just what this communi­
cating substance is.
The bombs which exploded at Bikini Atoll proved vcrv conclusively how
much radio-activity is liberated when atoms are exploded. We know now how
deadly such rays are. That is because man is D EST R O Y IN G what God has
made. But all of that radio-activity is there before it is exploded. It is there
now. IT IS T H E S U B ST A N C E W ITH W H ICH YOU PASS O Y ER T o

There must be some means ol actual communication between the Great Life
ol God which throbs and pulsates throughout the entire universe, and the Lift

rated. Therefore, there must be some means of communication between your
body of flesh and the Spirit of God, both within you and throughout the
universe. There are emanations from the human body and from the Life of
God which lives in the human body, and the Great Life of God which fills all
space. There is a definite connection. As you lie here in your bed, completely

This is a very scientific way of what I call “ exploding” the God in you into
action. The Spirit of God in you, seeing that at last you are calling It into
action, and knowing at once what your desires are, at once passes on your
desire into the Great Realm of The Spirit of God, and the very moment it
registers there T H E A N SW E R IS O N T H E W A Y . B E L IE V E ME, IT IS.
Throughout all inter-stellar space are what is known as Cosmic Rays. Our
scientists know much more about these rays than has been disclosed to the
world as yet. Russia and other nations are trying to explode them. They may.
Anyway, we know that the Spirit of God exists throughout all space. We know
that Spirit is all-knowing, so we know that the Great Master-Spirit, which is
God, knows exactly what is going on throughout all space. That Great Spirit
knows, too, what is going on down in that little bedroom of yours when you
are endeavoring to transmit to It, through the Spirit of God within you, the
things whatsoever ye desire. Therefore, when The Spirit of God in you has
awakened, or has been “ exploded into action” by you, at once all the Power,
all the Wisdom, and all the Knowledge in the universe, which is God, flies into
action to manifest those things.
We have seen that God exists for the sole purpose of drawing man back to
Him. God wants man, now, to have everything that God has. God has a plan
whereby that can be possible, right here on the earth. We are getting a pretty
fair grasp now on just what that plan is. It is unique, believe me. Only a
Supreme God could have figured it out. But a Supreme God D ID figure it out,
and you and I are the beneficiaries of the plan.
Not a thought you have ever thought has been lost; for thoughts, in the
Infinite Realm of God, are actual things. At the very center of the proton and
the neutron, with all their explosive potentialities, is the Spirit of God. Man
has been able to explode those atoms. Then try to conceive the latent Power of
God in you, because of the fact that all the Power there is in the Realm of God
throughout the universe actually lives in you.
These mental pictures you draw are, in fact, very much more than that.

 Then make your thought-pictures very clear. See the things as you want it.
As I say, this method has helped so many tens of thousands, that I believe I
shall recommend it at this point. I used it years ago, before I grasped the
greater fundamental truth that this is not necessary. It may not be necessary
for the one who has been travelling along the road of the God-Laws for years,
but it will help a beginner. After all, the study of the Realm of God is much
like other studies. The novice cannot jump in one Lesson right into the heart
of The Almighty. He will learn day by day, week by week, month by month,
and year by year. One of these days, soon, these simple exercises will not be
necessary, because faith in God will be manifesting on the earth once again.
But they are necessary now.
Many years ago, when I was but a starter on this glorious path, I made a
mental picture of the things I wanted the Spirit of God to bring to me. Believe
me, I did not give God a little thing todo. I wanted a wonderful home, sur­
rounded by a beautiful lawn. I saw that home. Every window, every door, and
the surrounding grounds. I wanted to drive the most expensive car made— a
Deusenberg. I wanted a beautiful pipe-organ in that home. I wanted lots of
life insurance. I wanted many things.
Now I have that home I impressed indelibly on The Spirit of God within
me. I never wavered. At that time I did not have, and could not raise $100.
But I knew God could. So then, true to the vision the Spirit of God had given
me, I started to tell men and women throughout the world about the present
existence of The Spirit of God in them. All the time I was telling God about
the home, the pipe-organ, and the car. I thanked Him that He had heard me.
Then, when I knew He had, I made mental pictures of the home, the organ,
and the Deusenberg. It took God less than two years to bring all these things
to me. The home I live in now IS T H E E X A C T HO M E I H A D P IC T U R E D

This is just one instance of the sureness with which The Spirit of God operates,
when one understands the Law which is God.
For God IS a Law. A mighty operating spiritual Law which, because it is
God, is the most powerful Law in the universe. It is the universe. This Law
acts with unerring accuracy. It cannot fail. And you, mv friend, have living
within you the very means which can bring into your life a super abundance
of very good thing you can possibly need, both material and spiritual.
Is there illness or sickness in your home.3 The Spirit of God can drive these
things all out, and bring into your home perfect health, both bodily and
spiritually. Is there fear in your home.3 Is there distress? Is there worry? Is
there financial lack? The Spirit of God can replace all these things with an
abundant plenty, and can bring to you and yours A G R E A T PEA C E. For.
while I have stressed in these Lessons so far, the Power there is in the Realm
of The Spirit of God, there is in God a great Peace, too.
The beauty of all this is that you are the one who has the final sav as to
whether you enjoy these good things here on earth or not. You are the one
who has the say as to whether you continue on through life as you have been.
or if you allow The Spirit of God to come into your life with all Its wonder­
fulness. You, I say, are the one. Fortunately, your path and mine have crossed.
You have come to me, and you know by this time that I am fully informed of
the steps which are necessary to lead you into the most amazing and glorious
experience of the Power of God. No man can write as I write, unless the Spirit
of God lives in that man. When I want to write one of these Lessons to you,
I just sit down, open up the flood-gates of The Spirit of God, and out comes
the message. Believe me, this is a glorious life. It is the life you shall have if
you desire it, and if you follow me closely, doing as I ask you to do.
There is no such thing as a person actually wanting to know the Power of
God and not finding that Power. That is an absolute impossibility, provided
one first of all realizes the existence of The Spirit of God in him, and then
goes to work to arouse that Spirit, thereby throwing into instant operation all
the Power God has, in his behalf. And when I say “ A L L T H E POW ER
GOD H A S ”—W E L L , T H A T ’S A L O T OF PO W ER. '
But all of this Power may be yours. It is yours now and, when you realize
that, your pathway to God is clear. There may be some trouble on your part
getting used to living in the God-body instead of living in the flesh-body. But
there is no comparison between the two lives. If all we know are the pleasures
the flesh can bring, we know very little of true pleasure. But if we know even
a little of the pleasures we get from constant communion with The Spirit of
God, well, those are true pleasures I can assure you.
There is Eternal Life for you through the Spirit of God. There is Eternal
Peace for you through the Spirit of God. There is Eternal love, Peace, Power,
and Glory for you, through the Power of The Spirit of God. These things are
yours now, if you will but take them. You can do that by submerging your
flesh-body in the God-body.

essential to our efforts in spreading this Teaching of the wonderful Power of
The Spirit of God.
