I rejoice with you. Reading this article indicates that you made it into the New Year. We
indeed praise God for His mercies and grace. I want you to take notice that God in deed did
not make any mistake by making it possible for you to be alive at such a time as this. Be rest
assured that He indeed has plans for you, there is a destiny for you to fulfil, life for you to
impart and people for you to help fulfil their destinies. God indeed has you included in His
plans and the fulfilment of your desires this year. Were it not so, you will not be alive, for
God does not consider you just as a number but as a project and an instrument to be used
to bring to pass His will and purposes. You are very precious to Him and important in His
scheme of things in the New Year. So should you not be glad that He has kept you alive for
such a time as this?

When you are ignorant of the fact that God has you in mind, you will consider life as a rat
race, the survival of the fittest. But as a child of God, you ought to understand that you are
not a rat and that your life is worth much more than that of a rat. Moreover, you are not
here on earth by chance, neither are you here to struggle for what͛s available or to steal in
order to survive, hence God͛s got plans for your life. He has all things programmed for you,
He͛s got all things laid out for you, you are already provided for, and He is not just thinking
of what to do for you .

I need you in this New Year to fill your mind and thought with these truths. If you have any
reason to doubt these facts, then you have sentenced yourself to a perpetual life of
struggle. Am I now saying that you will never have any challenge(s) this year? Far from it,
rather I am saying you will overcome every challenge this year. As believers our challenges
or our view of them differ from the unlearned in the ways of God. Whereas for us, we
believe that God, through Jesus has provided for us all things that pertains to life, the
unbeliever believes he must struggle (like a rat) for the limited resources. What is the
difference in this outlook? Good question. The difference is in the fact that we are men of
faith, so whatever God said is ours, notwithstanding our present situation, we believe it is
ours and we lay claim to them by faith. So rather than see ourselves as people lacking and
struggling to make ends meet, we see ourselves as people already provided for that the
devil is trying to deprive of what God has already given us. D id you get that?

That is why our base scripture says you should lift up your own eyes and look. When you are
looking down and backward, it is impossible to see what͛s ahead, as a man of God said, ͞the
reason why the rear view mirror of a car is quite small compared to the windshield is
because there more things ahead than behind.͟ That my friend is the way you should
consider the New Year to the last. There is so much ahead of you this New Year than for you
to sleep on however the past year s had been.
There are three basic considerations I want you to put in focus in this New Year in order to
make the best out of it.
The first is your vision. Your eyes must see opportunities, provisions, increase s, successes
and all that is in God͛s plan for your life. You must see that you will excel in this New Year.
You must see that you will surpass yourself. It must be a truth well tucked in your heart and
mind. You must see God working all things out for you. If you struggle with these facts, then
you will struggle to believe for God͛s provision and lifting. Your vision is your hope, your
dreams, the beautiful picture you built based on the word of God you read or heard. In
short, the word of God is supposed to give you a different picture of life beyond whatever
might be happening (or not) around you. Hope is your expectation based on accepted and
anticipated facts. It is the desired outcome. You must have a desire for a glorious year; you
must see that the field is waiting on you for harvest. You must see the finished work of
Christ for you in this d ispensation.

The next is faith. Based on the expected positive outcome, you must believe that it is for
your rejoicing. You must have the faith of being a partaker of the harvest. Whereas, vision
and hope is building a picture, faith is appropriating these things for you. Faith is the actions
you must take to make your visions and dreams become reality. These actions that are
motivated by your vision are the acts of faith. Your faith (actions) is only as strong as your
hope. If you have not been able to conceive that this is a great year, that you are involved in
God͛s plans and that He had made rooms for you, you may mouth His word but you will not
act. You must take action to call in your manifestation, your promotion, your child, your
spouse, your job and all you have seen in your mind ͛s eye concerning the New Year. That is
why the scripture says ...faith is the substance of things hoped for.... It is only what you can
conceive and give picture to that you can have faith for. So I ask what have you hoped for in
this year? Are they enough to motivate you to pursue them? Can you imagine them coming
to pass for you this year? Are you convinced about their reality en ough to act on them? If
you answers are yes, then welcome to a glorious year.

Finally, you need strategic plans. Is your life a walk of faith with God or a strategic plan? Is it
an adventure of faith or a blue print you put together? The most powerful lif e is the life that
combines aspects of diligent preparation, reflection and supernatural directions. Now that
you have seen the plenty harvest in the field, and you have seen what͛s yours in the year.
Now that you have believed God for your portion in the land of the living, it is time to add
common sense to it. ͞Any enterprise is built by wise planning, becomes strong through
common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of facts.͟ (Prov24:3,4 TLB). Faith
and vision doesn͛t say you should neglect having plans or being ignorant of your
environment.

How do you plan on making your dreams real? How do you hope on starting that business?
How do you plan to improve on your business? Have you garnered facts about where you
want to go and what you want to do? What steps have you put in place to get you to your
desired goal? Have you done the feasibility study of that project? What will it cost you to
implement it? These and more are very important considerations in bringing your visions to
life. This is what is called wisdom. Applying your faith in the right direction with a right
intent and purpose, for even our God never does things haphazardly but in order. Strategic
plans will put order to your faith, it will make you purposeful and you will also be able to
measure how far and how well within the ambit of the year.
Îven the Bible says you should commit your ways to the Lord and He will d irect your path, it
also said a man͛s heart devises his way but the Lord directs his path. If you have not thought
of anything, it is most probably you have no vision. Vision propagates ideas, a nd it is these
ideas that bring about God͛s given direction. You are not given a dormant brain, you are
supposed to think with it, but in your thinking , allow the Spirit of the Lord to influence your
decision making.

Now that you have a vision of a glorious year and the faith to bring the dreams to reality
coupled with the ideas of how to, when to, where to, who to and what to, then it͛s time for
you to go for it. Don͛t relent, don͛t look back, charge forward with every ounce of vigour
within you and rake in all that is for you this year. Look and see beyond the ne ws to the
good news of God. Refuse to be weighed down by the negative testimonies of others, keep
your vision(s) steadfast before you, be strong in faith giving glory to God, even if things
don͛t gel initially don͛t be afraid to re-strategise, renew and review you plans. No matter
what may be this year, make sure you go for your dreams and don͛t settle for less.
