Proposed Business Plan intend to show the way how to Explore the new
avenues to generate the business for maximizing the Profits of the
company in a given time period

This project concentrates on the Ocean Exports done from Inland


Container Depot (ICD) SABARMATI. And also studies few of the GUJARAT
ports from where the Exports are coming up for the Entire North-Western
India.

Ocean Exports – Import, in India is mainly dependent on the


a) Political relation of India with the Trading Country.
b) Trade Policies of WTO.
c) Commodities and Sectors of Exports.
d) EXIM Policies of the Government and related subsidies attached to it.

Various Trading Destinations


a) FAR EAST sector which consists of countries like CHINA, MALAYSIA,
NEWZLAND, JAPAN, etc.
b) MED sector, which consists the countries like Iran, Iraq etc.
c) CIS Destinations are the Ports and Places of Russian Continent.
d) EUROPEAN sector consists of the countries of European Continent.

Inland Container Depot.(ICD)


An ICD is a Dry Port; where in Custom Clearance is carried out for the
Purpose of Import or Exports.
Before we understand the Details of ICD and custom clearance it is
important to know that, Custom clearance can be done IN FACTORY, AT
ICD, or even AT PORT. There are authorized custom Agents which do the
Custom Clearance procedures.
An Inland Container Depot is located where in there are no ports, and
hence an Inland container depot works as a Dry Port. From here the
custom Cleared cargo is carried either by Railways or by Road Transports
to the Port. In India CONCOR (Container Corporation of India) is the
Governing authority of the ICD’s.

Description of Business:

Freight links International is a Freight Forwarding company. The nature of


business is like an agent. Promptly know as NVOCC (Non vessel Operator
Container Consortium).
A Freight Forwarder is different from a Custom Clearance, and the Whole
area of operation revolves around Forwarding of Import/Export.

Targeted Market and Customers

The target market and customers range from “SHIPPERS” – (One who
Imports /Exports), to CHA’s (Custom Clearance Agents).
A Freight Forwarder serves as a Sales representative for a Shipping Line,
It acts as a source of business for the Custom Clearance Agents, and
directly a forwarder provides and arranges for requirements of Import and
Export for a manufacturer.
We are focusing to the upcoming SEZs, EOUs & Duty free Zones which are
coming across the country.
