PAST PROGRESSIVE TENSE


El Past Progressive (pasado progresivo) es una forma del verbo que muestra que la
acción estaba en progreso en un momento dado o en un período dado en el pasado.

Formas negativas del past progressive

Las formas negativas del past progressive siguen las reglas que se usan para
conjugar el verbo to be en el pasado.

Formas interrogativas

Para hacer preguntas usando the past progressive, hay que invertir el sujeto y la
forma conjugada de to be. Comparamos la forma afirmativa con la forma
interrogativa.

SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE


El Presente Simple es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para describir acciones
habituales que suceden con cierta frecuencia y no hace referencia a si está
ocurriendo en el momento actual

SIMPLE PAST TENSE


El "simple past" se utiliza para hablar de una acción que concluyó en un
tiempo anterior al actual. La duración no es relevante. El tiempo en que se sitúa
la acción puede ser el pasado reciente o un pasado lejano.

El "simple future" se refiere a un tiempo posterior al actual y expresa hechos o

BEHIND – Detrás de. The board is behind the teacher.

BETWEEN – En medio de. David is between Jane and Milena. (entre o en medio de dos)

BESIDE/ NEXTO TO – Al lado de. Nelson is next to Diana.

NEAR (to) – Cerca de. That restaurant is near my house.

PREPOSITIONS OF MOTION

PREPOSICIONES DE MOVIMIENTO – Estas preposiciones indican como llegar a un lugar.

INTO – Dentro. Entrar (Acompañado del verbo GO). Go into the elevator.

OUT OF – Fuera de. Salir de (Acompañado del verbo GO). Go out of the office please.

UP – Arriba. Subir (acompañado del verbo GO). Go up to the third floor.

THROUGH – A través de, atravesar. Go through the park on the way to the library.

ACROSS – En frente (Prep. de lugar). The restaurant is across the Street.

Atravesar -(Acompañada del verbo GO). We go across the road for a coffee.

AROUND – Alrededor, en torno a. Go around the park and you will find the main gate.

ON THE LEFT – A la izquierda. Turn on the left. Gire a la izquierda

ON THE RIGHT – a la derecho. Turn on the right. Gire a la derecho.

Sabemos que There be significa (haber)- hay para hablar sobre la existencia de algo, pero, este es
un verbo impersonal, porque no se lo puede conjugar con los pronombres personales, No estamos
hablando del verbo To have = haber. / tener.

Vamos a revisarlo rápidamente: THERE IS = HAY. SINGULAR. THERE ARE = HAY. PLURAL A.

There is = hay. Example: There is a dictionary in this box.


N. There isn’t = No hay. Example: There isn’t water in the refrigerator.
I. Is there? = ¿hay? Example: Is there a rabbit in the garden? Yes, there is / No,

There isn’t.

There are = hay Example: There are two men and three women in the meeting.

There aren’t = no hay Example: There aren´t any chickens in this farm.

Are there? = ¿hay? Example: Are there five girls in your classroom? Yes, there are / No,

There aren’t.

In the place where I live there are many houses.


there are also many children but there isn´t older adult.
Six people live in my house, there are three men and there are two women and there
is a girl. Likewise, there is a cat that likes to play with a ball that is in my room
because there aren´t more toys to play with. In the house there is a special place for
the girl to play, and there are toys there, there is a big doll but there aren´t carts and
there isn´t ball.
