Introduction
The Model “C” and “C-1” Retrievable Bridge
Plugs can be used for selective fracturing, acidiz-
ing, testing and/or treating of several intervals in a
well in one trip and for temporary pressure contain-
ment from either above or below. One of the prima-
ry applications for these Retrievable Bridge Plugs
are their use with Baker Full-Bore Retrievable Ce-
menters (Product Family No. H41001) in straddle
operations such as selective multiple zone or sin-
gle zone fracturing, acidizing, testing, or cement-
ing.
The Model “C-1” Retrievable Bridge Plug, cur-
rentlyavailable in Sizes 28 thru 55, differs from the
Model “C” only in the design of the Slip assembly.
The Slip Rings and the Slip Ring Tie are threaded
in the Model “C-1”, and the four Cap Screws used
with the Slip assembly in the Model “C” are elimi-
nated. This new design increases the strength of
the Slip assembly.
This tech unit contains detailed information on
Models “C” and “C-1” Retrievable Bridge Plugs
and specific operating instructions for these bridge
plugs when run with a Baker Model “H” Retrieving
Head. For detailed information regarding the Baker
Model “H” Retrieving Heads, refer to Tech Unit
4170, Index 302.00, Remedial Systems Manual.
Features/Benefits
• Neutral Set - Opposing cups require no tension
or compression to set.
• Holds pressure from both directions.
• Fluid bypasses through valves while running
and retrieving.
