START BEG: Ch4; Slip TOG Row to create circle Loop.


Row 1 CH3, Complete12 DCs in Loop; Slip TOG Row.
Row 2 CH3, Complete 2 DC inbetween DC ST to create 24 DCs. Slip TOG Row.
Row 3 BEG. CH3, SC inbetween next DC ST. * CH3, SC inbetween next DC ST;
repeat from * across row. End with SC at BEG of Row 3.
Slip TOG Row. You should now have 24 Loops.
Row 4 SC through loop. CH3, DC in same loop; CH3,
SC in next loop; CH3,* 2 DCs in next Loop; CH2, 2 DCs in next Loop; CH3,
SC in next loop; CH3; Repeat from * across row. TOG
Row 5 CH3, DC in next DC; * CH1, DC (in next loop); CH3, DC in same loop; SC, DC in
next DC, (2 times); CH3, (SK next CH3) SC in next CH2 loop, CH3, ** DC in next
DC, (2 times); repeat from * across row until you end at **. Slip TOG
Row 6 CH3, DC in next DC; *CH3, (SK next CH3) SC in CH1 area CH3, (CH, DC, 4
times in same CH1 area), CH3; ** DC in next DC, (2 times); repeat from * across
row until you end at **. Slip TOG

If you want to create the SnowFlake Edge (like in the picture), proceed to the
Snowflake Edge instructions now.

Row 12 CH3, DC in Same CH3 loop; *Complete 2 DC in next CH3 loop; repeat from *
across row. Slip TOG.

If you like the size of your afghan, you can proceed to create the Ribbon Edge. If not, consider
the Optional Heirloom Edging to create a wider afghan.

Ribbon Through Row 12 DCs, alternate a 30” ribbon in and out across row to create a
Edge Ribboned Trim. Secure ribbon together and hide end inside. Clip to size.

Optional You will be creating a point at each edge of the pineapples. You will repeat this for
SnowFlake a total of 8 times (one for each pineapple).
Edging Start at the edge of a Pineapple, where there are two DCs.
Row 1: You will CH3 into the Outside ST of the DC, then DC into the next DC (inside ST);
then DC again into the inside DC ST of the other side of the Pineapple, then DC
once more in the outer ST of the DC; Reverse Direction.
Point: CH1; Then through each DC ST (4); ie. Pull through (but leave on your hook)…
each of the 4 DCs. Then finally pull through all Loops on your Hook and Pull Tight
and Tie off. This creates a point on the snowflake.

Optional Finish Rows Start through 12 of the basic Pineapple Circle Heirloom Afghan

Edging Tie on inbetween a DC Set (which was done within a loop).
Row 1 CH3; CH3; * DC inbetween a DC Set; CH3; Repeat from * across row. Slip TOG.
Row 2 CH3; DC4 within same loop; skip a loop; DC5 within next loop;
Repeat from * across row. Slip TOG.
Row 3 CH3; * SC inbetween each DC across row. Slip TOG. Finish off.
