OPTIONAL Materials:
If you like the size of your afghan, you can proceed to create the Ribbon Edge. If not, consider
the Optional Heirloom Edging to create a wider afghan.
Ribbon Through Row 12 DCs, alternate a 30” ribbon in and out across row to create a
Edge Ribboned Trim. Secure ribbon together and hide end inside. Clip to size.
Optional You will be creating a point at each edge of the pineapples. You will repeat this for
SnowFlake a total of 8 times (one for each pineapple).
Edging Start at the edge of a Pineapple, where there are two DCs.
Row 1: You will CH3 into the Outside ST of the DC, then DC into the next DC (inside ST);
then DC again into the inside DC ST of the other side of the Pineapple, then DC
once more in the outer ST of the DC; Reverse Direction.
Point: CH1; Then through each DC ST (4); ie. Pull through (but leave on your hook)…
each of the 4 DCs. Then finally pull through all Loops on your Hook and Pull Tight
and Tie off. This creates a point on the snowflake.
