‘With You Always’ : Further to the DVD which was shown during Mass two weeks ago regarding
changes in the way we celebrate the Sacraments of Initiation across the Diocese, there is a leaflet which
will be given out after Mass this weekend explaining how we make that change. This particularly affects
children in Year 2 and below. Please make sure you take a leaflet with you.
Tea after 10 : tea and coffee will be served in the Parish Centre after Mass on Sunday. All welcome.
World Day of Prayer for the Sick : Bishop Tom Williams will celebrate Mass in the Cathedral on
Sunday afternoon (6th Feb) at 3pm. Anyone who works in healthcare is particularly invited.
Coffee Morning : This will take place on Tuesday morning in the Parish Centre between 9.30
11.00am. All welcome.
Lourdes Mass : Mass for the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes will take place at Christ the King Church,
Childwall, Liverpool at 7.30pm on Friday 11 February. All welcome.
Mass of Anointing : Next Saturday (12th Feb) Archbishop Kelly will celebrate Mass at 11.00am in
St Oswald’s Church during which the housebound of our parishes will receive the Sacrament of the
Sick. All are welcome to attend to pray for those who are sick at this time. Please note there will be no
Confessions here on that day because of the Mass.
Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes : from 22nd - 29th July 2011. Brochures are available at the
back of church for anyone interested.
‘Some Definite Service’ is what Blessed John Henry Newman described as our task. Seeking to
continue the legacy of the Holy Father’s visit to this country, it is also the title of a booklet designed to
help us keep alive the spirit of those days. These are available at the back of church.
Pilgrimage to Walsingham : There are still places left for the pilgrimage August 17th - 19th, Cost :
£102. A non-refundable deposit of £20 is required. Please see Deacon Malcolm or Pam Hughes.
Charity Lunch :Please note that the Charity Lunch planned for 25 February to support Fr John Peter’s
Orphanage has been postponed for the time being.
