Aprenda holandês ou Inglês na BERLITZ AMESTERDAM

Berlitz Amsterdam is of course able to receive any type of student, whether they are
international or local. The best would be to take private lessons for this student as the
groups that we have are not intensive or regular enough for an international student.
Below you will find a few of the options with prices. Please note that Amsterdam is an
expensive city for accommodation, and we therefore can only recommend a few very
local hotels (Novotel and Holiday In that are less than 10 minutes’ walk away) or
slightly cheaper accommodation in the Center of Amsterdam (www.rhohotel.nl), which
is conveniently located in the center, but at 25 minutes by tram from the language
center. Please also note that we cannot help the students with obtaining Visas.

Method

The Berlitz method, created by our founder Maximiliaan Berlitz, is a natural method. It is
based on dialogue, in the same way that a mother tongue is acquired.

The teacher, who is only teaching his mother tongue, is imparting his knowledge to the
student through examples and corrections. The structured dialogue that takes place
between the teacher and the student demands highly active participation from both.

Questions, answers and improvements are carried out in the language of study. No use is
being made of translation or mechanical aids. The Berlitz teacher follows a specific pre-set
program. The teacher is a top quality conversation partner and teaches the language using
current vocabulary and expressions, with the correct accent and intonation.

Program: Total Immersion® (1 week)

Total Immersion® is the world famous learning method of Berlitz – intended for people
who need to learn a language within a short period of time.

This is the fastest and most efficient way to learn a language. During the "BERLITZ Total
Immersion®" the student is completely isolated from his own mother tongue and
surroundings. During 9 hours per day and five days per week, the Berlitz teachers provide
the student with uninterrupted conversation – even during lunch!

The result is that the student quickly and automatically starts to think and speak in the new
language.
The student is confronted with daily subjects as well as specialized vocabulary for example
from marketing, business, finance or nursing.

After following a Total Immersion® course, the student, who a month earlier couldn’t
speak a single word of the new language, can now easily make himself understood and
understand what is said to him in return.

Program: Sprint 45 (1 week)

The Sprint 45 is a lighter version of the Total Immersion. This program is also completely
created according the needs of the student. The main difference is simply that it is made up
of fewer lessons.

Program: Individual Classic (2 months)

This is one of our most popular course options. The student has the teacher’s undivided
attention, and progresses quickly but at his own pace through a personal intensive dialogue
with the teacher.

It is an intensive and individual program of 40 lessons of 45 minutes each to be completed

within two months. Free flexible schedule during these 2 months month. You can choose the
dates and the times.

At Berlitz, our Individual Instruction program are custom-designed to help students succeed,
with added flexibility in scheduling and curriculum to meet the objectives of busy executives.

The person who wants to learn to speak a new language quickly

ADVANTAGES:

One-on-one attention. Allows students to learn at their own pace. Think and speak in a new
language right away, without the added step of translation.

Program: Individual Compact (1 week)

For the student who wishes to see fast progress in a short amount of time.

Intensive and individual training which can be easily planned, as the student is following a
course plan which has been set out in advance.

20 lessons of 45 minutes to be taken within 1 week

The lessons will be at fixed times (4 lessons a day during 5 days).

Program: Individual Smart (1 week)

For the busy student who wishes to see fast progress in a short amount of time while still
being able to handle the daily tasks on the side as well.

Intensive and individual training which can be easily planned, as the student is following a
course plan which has been set out in advance.

Pedagogical Material

BERLITZ Multi-Media is a unique material which is intended as a support to the lessons.

The programs – in the form of CDs and books - are continually kept up to date, and are
created for the student to use between the lessons, in order to help better pronunciation and
understanding, and to stimulate reading and writing.

The BERLITZ Multi-Media material can also be used by students after their lessons
with Berlitzare completed, helping them maintain their new found skills or to continue
improving on their own.
The price of the material is not included in any of the programs mentioned above.
