Hall of Grade of the Master of the Phoenix.
Assure yourself that the Lodge is duly guarded and that all have attained the grade of
Master of the Phoenix.
(Great and Mighty King goes to the Hall, Honoured Priest, Honoured Ruler and Honoured
Councelor stay in the Portal)

HP: GH Councelor, assure yourself that the Lodge is duly guarded.

HP: GH Ruler, assure yourself that all present have attained the Grade of Master of the
Phoenix.
HR: GH Masters, give the sign of the Phoenix.

GH Masters, it is the will of GH Great and Mighty King to advance Frater (Moto) into
this exalted Grade.
So let us now aid that Higher Light emmerge and fill this Hall for the purpouse of
initiating Frater (Moto) to the Grade of Master of the Phoenix.

(GMK approaches with the Scull and a candle upon it by the path of Sword on the Carpet. HP
East of the Altar takes the brazier, HR to South West, HC to North West of Altar. HP, HR, and
HC face East.)

GMK: Unprepared Thou art, so thou can only see the lesser Mysteries and obscured Light.
Enter by the words B.M.E.E. and all shall be revealed. (GMK closes veil)

HP: The word has not been found.
HC: But I have seen a Banner with the Name of Elohim upon it.
HP: With beginning, created Elohim the substance of Heaven and the Substance of Earth.

Elohim moved upon the face of the Waters of Creation.

I declare that I have opened this Hall in the Grade of Master of the Phoenix.
Advancement – 1st Part

(Veil is re-drawn. Officer in charge is HP.)

HP: GH Councelor, I charge you with the duty of administering a preliminary Oath upon
Frater (Moto).
GH Ruler, I charge you with the duty of leading Frater (Moto) into this Hall.

(HR and HC quit the Lodge. Lights dimmed.)

HC: Very Honoured Frater (Moto), you have been called to an advancement to the Grade of
Master of the Phoenix by the Great and Mighty King, but before you can enter I must first
administer a preliminary Oath upon you. The Highest Myteries and Secrets are Most Potent and
aught to be duly guarded. I assure you however that there is nothing in this Preliminary, nor in
the Binding Oath of the Grade, that could be contrary to your civil, moral or religious rights
and duties. Are you willing to take such Oaths?
C: I am.
HC: You will then stand in the form of a pentagram, your legs spread and your arms extended
and repeat:
I swear and promise by the substance of my body that I will keep all secrets paterning to
this Grade of Master of the Phoenix secret from all members who have not attained to its
Myseties and Secrets, and to any other person who is outside of this Order.

HR: (Gives Candidate the Swastika and instructs him to knock)

HC: (As thay all enter): By Ash, Mayim, Ruach and Aretz doth he build Jerusalem, and by
Ruach Elohim is the Heavenly Kingdom Manifested.

HC: And there within Jerusalem do the Oxen abide. Behold the Yoke upon the neck of the
Oxen! These are the Beasts wherewith thou mayest plough the Field: Unicorn, Horse and the
Ox.
Unicorn is Speech. Man, rule thy Speech!
HR: (Forces Candidate to his knees, his hands on the ground. He instructs him to repeat the
Oath)
HC: I promise and swear upon the substance of my being that I will not utter the sacred
Names in vain, nor shall I devulge nor debase and profane our knowledge in speech nor
writing, and may the Magus of the Right Hand path destroy my body and torture my Soul
forever if I brake this Oath.

HR: Horse is Action. Man, rule thy Action!

(Forces Candidate to raise, feet together, arms put streached towards Heavens. Candidate
again repeats.)
I promise and swear upon my inner being that I will not perform secret ceremonies and
rites without due permission, nor shall I devulge nor debase and profane those ceremonies and
rites in deed, speech nor writing, and may the Father of the Left Hand Path trample upon me
and destroy my body, and torture my Soul forever if I break this Oath.
HP: Ox is Thought. Man, rule thy Thought.
(Candidate is turned upside down and held thus by HC and HR, his right leg crossing the
left, and hands together pulled upwards as in the possition of the Hanged Man. He again
repeats, or else he is bid to lay down in that possition.)
I promise and swear upon my Higher Soul that I will not permit any power nor being –
human nor inhuman, of lower nor of higher planes, to obsess my mind and therefrom extract
our secret Knowledge, rites and ceremonies, nor yet cause me to loose control of my speech,
deed nor thought by any means. I will not with taught cause harm nor evil upon another person,
nor will I devulge in deed, speech nor writing, nor in thought, not one smallest secret of the
Order and may the High Priestess cut me open and take my heart out and feed it to the Beast of
Nile, and destroy my body and torture my Soul if I should break this Oath.

(Candidate is lowered. His feet together.)
HP: You will now place your right hand on your heart, the thumb and little finger erect, thus
forming the symbol of the Cup of the Moon. (Done). You will now repeat after me:
I, (Moto), promise and swear upon my Secret Heart, which is the Secret Centre of my
Being, that I will persevere with courage and determination through the rest of this initiation,
and even that I will put the great Beast Cerberos under my obedience. (He is instructed to place
the Swastika upon the Altar and knock once)

GMK: (When Candidate knocks, he puts out the Scull with the cande through the Veil)
You have entered Raphodon, the Place of Destruction, but one word will save you from
being utterly destroyed. That word is the Title of Lord of the Sword?
Candidate: (Unprompted): Benjamin.
GMK: Lesser secrets have you already obtained. If you wish to enter the Higher Secrets and
obtain that Higher Light you must complete the four words of B.M.E.E., of which the first is
Benjamin.
I (Withdraws the scull)

HP: What is this hour?

HC: It is the first hour of the Dawn.
HR: Upon horizon is Siruis – the Star.
HC: The Soul of Sirius is Sothis – the Dog – which is the Soul of Isis.
HR: This is the hour of your birth and life. (Lights turned on)

HP: With beginning there was the Word

And the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
In the beginning she was with God.
Everything became through her,
and nothing that became did not become without her.
The Word was Light,
and Light was Life to people,
and the Light shines in the darkness,
 but the Darkness comprehendeth it not.

HC: And as all things have arose from the One by the mediation of the One: so all things
have their birth from this One by adaptation.
The Sun is its father, the Moon its mother,
the Wind hath carried it in its belly, the Earth its nurse.
The father of all perfection in the whole world is here.
Its force and power are perfected if it be converted into earth.
Separate the earth from the fire, the subtle and thin from the crude and coarse, prudently,
with modesty and wisdom.

HR: This ascends from the earth into the sky and again descends from the sky to the earth,
and receives the power and efficacy of things above and of things below.
Through these means you will acquire the glory of the whole world, and so you will
drive away all shadows and blindness.
For this by its fortitude snatches the palm from all other fortitude and power. For it is
able to penetrate and subdue everything subtle and everything crude and hard.

HP: Master of the Seven Stars, Frater (Moto), the Grip of this grade is given same as before
but with left hand.
The sign is given by placing the right hand upon the heart, thumb and little finger erect.
That is the symbol of Luna – the Moon, whose weapon is the Cup, represented by the Secret
Heart, that is the core of your being and of all existence. Separate thay are the light and the
Darkness, conjoined thay are called the One and the All, Infinity is their property.
The Knock is given thus. It will open the door of this Grade unto you again, when the
Sun is at its highest.
The words are Sirius – the Star, and it is always replied by Sothis – the Dog.
GH Ruler, I delegate you the duty of investing Frater (Moto) with the Ribbon of the
Order of Aurea Aurora.

HR: (Done). The Ouroboros, serpent coiled in a circle, eating its own tail, is the emblem of
eternity, which is without beginning and an end. Its property is that of renewal, therefore it is an
emblem of the Phoenix who burns himself up to ashes and then arises anew therefrom.
Learn thou the necessity of Self-Sacrifice.
HP: Frater (Moto), you will now quit the Lodge for the time being until you should again be
summoned by the higher.
Advancement – 2nd Part

(Swastika still in its place on the Altar, brazier upon the inner Altar, Scull and bones on the
lower Altar. A large white cloth is positioned beneath the Altar.)

HP: GH Councelor, I charge you with the duty of presenting the badge of the truncated
pyramid to the Candidate and accompaning him into the Hall.
HC: GH Priest, it shall be duly done.

(Quits the Lodge. All Done. Candidate instructed to knock. Honoured Ruler opens the door.)

HR: By what signs do you seek admission?

Candidate: By the truncated pyramid and the Ribbon of the Order.
HR: What Order may that be?
Candidate: Ordo Aurea Aurora.
HR: Give me the grip, sign, and Word of the Grade.
(Done)
HR: Memento Mori, - Remember the Dead, and know that thay shall rise again.

HP: What is this hour?

HC: It is Noon, symbol of life and death of the candidate.
HP: Intrust the candidate with the Banner of Elohim and conduct the circumambulation of
life.
(Done. Honoured Councelor on Candidates left, Honoured Ruler on his right, Honoured Priest
before him to lead the way. Truncated pyramid in candidates left hand, Banner in his right.
Honoured Priest carries the Scull, and Honoured Ruler and Honoured Councelor carry a bone
each. They circumambulate once)

HC: This is the time of your maturity.

(Second) HR: This is the time of your initiation into the Order of the Holy Graal.
(Third) HR: This is the time of your cleansing.
(Fourth) HC: This is the time of your consecration.
(Fifth) HP: This is the time of your initiation to Ordo R.R. et A.C.
(Sixth) HP: This is the time of your initiation to the Order of the Seven Masters of the
Adytum
(Finish the circumambulations where thay started, ie. West, all turned to East)

HP: With beginning, created Elohim the substance of Heaven and the Substance of Earth. And

(Candidate instructed to place the Banner on the right of Altar and the pyramid in its place)
HP: What is the password of the Adept of the Rosy Cross?
Candidate: Emmanuel
HP: Pax Vobis. Emmanuel is the fourth word of the words B.M.E.E.
The pasword of this Grade is Calig-pen-ednl – Meaning: do what thou wishest done to
thee
What is the age of the candidate?
HC: He is 61 years old.
HP: (Shows him the Scull, than goes around him places the Scull on his head) This is the
time of your death.
(Great and Myghty King pushes the brazier through the Veil and makes a cross. Honoured
Ruler and Councelor place the bones to Candidates temples and the three officers lower him
gently onto the cloth, place in his hands the Tetrahedron, then wrap him in it. Thay replace the
Scull and bones, and then they put the Candidate on a board and carry him head forward,
forward Honoured Ruler, Honoured Councelor at the feet, Honoured Priest leads them once
around holding the Banner in his right hand and in his left the Brazier. Honoured Priest makes
five crosses with brazier over Candidate: West-North-East-South-West saying:
West: He is dead and we mourn over him.
North: He is dead and we burry him.
East: He is dead and he falls appart.
South: He is dead and worm eat what is left of him.
West: He is dead and is no more.
When he says the last Great and Mighty King continues)
GMK: (Pushes through the Cup and makes figures saying)
(Triangle) He is dead but his work remains.
(Pentagram) He is dead but his spirit goes on.
(Hexagram) He is dead but his Soul lives on and shall never die.
(Cross) Mors Janua Vitæ – Death is the Gate to Life.
Advancement – 3rd Part

(Swastika and Truncated Pyramid still in their places on the Altar, brazier upon the lower Altar,
Scull and bones on the inner Altar. Candidate still wraped in the cloth placed in the West. Cup
on the Grand Altar, Tranclucent Veil drawn as well as the white Veil. Great and Mighty King
East of the inner Altar. Honoured Priest adresses still wrapped Candidate)

HP: This is the hour of sunset, and the shadows are getting larger.
We will now leave you alone to escape the clanch of Death on your own devices. When
you do you will circumambulate trice carring the Tetrahedron which you hold. As you reach
East you will face the Altar and place the Tetrahedron in its place giving the Sacred Word of
Master of the Serpent of Brass. Then will you face the East and behold the Crown of our
Mysteries.
(They go out. Done. Great and Mighty King renders the White Veil just so that the Carpet and
the inner altar may be seen)

GMK: Mo-Ha-Bon – Remembrance of the Dead. The initial Letters of these words are
inscribed upon the Lammen of this grade with which I will invest you now. (Great and Mighty
King approaches and invests Candidate with Lammen)
With this Lammen you are entitled to the Lesser mysteries.
Of the symbolism of the Serpent and Phoenix (indicates the Altar) you have already
become knowledgable. The Admission bagdes of the previous Grades and Orders which you
have attended are placed around it because you renounce all of them in this Grade. To advance
in this grade you will have to renounce even yourself. In the sign of accepting this condition
you will burn this parchment upon which is written your name and your Moto above it, in the
brazier.

The brazier is that consumating fire, but also that sanctifying and renewing fire.
The Scull and bones (indicating them only but obscuring the view of the Carpet to the
Candidate) are the symbols of death, but the Candle that burning upon the Scull is that Light of
Life coming after Death.
Moses, the Sacred Word of the Grade of Master of the Brazen Serpent is the second
Word of the Words B.M.E.E.
You have come through Fortitude thus far – and that is the kay of the third Word, but
before imparting upon you the higher and final mysteries of this grade you will retreat once
again and seek them in due form.
(Candidate quits the Lodge.)
Advancement – 4th Part

(All in its place. Honoured Priest, Ruler and Councelor outside the Lodge with Candidate. All
Veils rendered. When the Great and Mighty King signals with a knock thay all enter.)

HC: Greatly Honoured Great and Mighty King, this Candidate, Frater (Moto), has been
introduced to the lower secrets and mysteries of Grade of Master of the Phoenix and seeks
further ilumination by the higher secrets and Mysteries, more potent than any other he has
received before.
GMK: What is this hour?
HP: This is the hour of Midnight which heralds the New Day.
GMK: Let us so first impart upon him the Sacred Word of the Grade.

GMK: Yod
HC: Heh
What is the Word?
Candidate: Eliah
GMK: Eliah – Fortitude. That is the third Word of the words B.M.E.E.
HC: Benjamin
HP: Moses
HR: Eliah

Such are the words.

HP: In front of you burn the four candles, every of different colour. Thay represent the
Elements which uphold the Holy Graal.

GMK: (Leads the Candidate before the Carpet)

This is the carpet of the Grade. It represents the symbol of the Holy Graal, how it can be
produced and where it may be found.
The four coulours of the border of the carpet are the Elements which support it. This is
why the Graal has a cubical base.
The Triangle with one point facing down, with the All seeing eye within it symbolizes
the descending influence of the Higest, who is the Author of Light, and His is the Three-rayed
Crown of the All.
Beneath this is a Sword, universal symbol of the Lingam, as the Graal is the universal
symbol of Yoni. Upon the Sword are found Five Stones to whose symbolism you will be
introduced in the following grades. It is sufficient to say now that thay are connected with the
Five-petaled Rose also found upon the Sword.
Upon the path of the Sword is descending a white Dove. The Dove represents the
descending influence of the Father, through Supernal Mother, which carries the fertalizing
influence represented by a variation of the Tau Cross, also a symbol the Lingam.
The rainbow coloured Serpents on the side of the Dove represent the multitude of all that
would be Created. They are the Potential Creation of the Author of Light and Darkness.
The Graal itself is a Lunar symbol and it reflects the fertile Light of the Sun, and this
Light is the Creation thereof.
By the Father, through the Lingam, by the Supernal Mother and the Sun is She, the Cup
of Blessednes, Yoni, the Bride, impragnated to bring forth the Sacred Light to Men upon Earth.
Therein you will mix the Blood of the Red Lion and the Gluten of the White Eagle: Cup
to the Sword or Dagger, Flower to the Rod, Yoni to the Lingam.

The Sun hath risen in the East and the Darkness is not amongst us, though the shadows
still remain.
I now invest you with the Sash of this Grade and hereby proclaim that you have been
advanced to the Grade of Master of the Phoenix.
The Triangle with the All-seeing eye and the descending Dove upon the Sash have the
same meaning as those upon the Carpet. The Equilateral Cross is the symbol of that Light
produced in the Graal of which it is said “Light in Extension”.
