DT12 - WDB 9323 - ENGINE Iron is related to wear of pistons ring, cylinder liners,
28/01/2011 valve train, crankshafts, rocker arm, engine block, oil pump,
washer, ect. Spectro and visco accptable limit. Soot in
medium range, probably from engine lugging, incorrect fuel
settings, prolonged idling or restricted air intake system.
Check air cleaners for cleanliness and continue with
scheduled sampling.(DP)

DT08 - WDB 9323 - ENGINE Iron is related to wear of pistons ring, cylinder liners,
28/01/2011 valve train, crankshafts, rocker arm, engine block, oil pump,
washer, ect. Can result from piston scuffing, scoring or
burning. Sometimes aluminium bearings may be wearing rapidly.
In crankcases it can be due to alloy housing wear Spectro and
visco accptable limit. Soot in medium limit, probably from
engine lugging, incorrect fuel settings, prolonged idling or
restricted air intake system. Check air cleaners for
cleanliness and continue with scheduled sampling.(DP)

DT07 - WDB 9323 - ENGINE Iron is related to wear of pistons ring, cylinder liners,
28/01/2011 valve train, crankshafts, rocker arm, engine block, oil pump,
washer, ect. Copper can come from connecting rods bearing,
wrist pin bushing, cam bushing, thrus washers, turbo bearing
wear and oil coolers. Spectro and visco accptable limit. Soot
in medium range, probably from engine lugging, incorrect fuel
settings, prolonged idling or restricted air intake system.
Check unusual noise and check air cleaners for cleanliness
and continue with scheduled sampling.(DP)
