IBM Websphere MQ 7.

0 Installation Document

1. Login with ‘Domain Administrator’ and go to ‘IBM Websphere MQ 7.0

Installation’ folder and click on the MQLaunch.exe for installation. The following
screen will appear. Select ‘Software Requirements’ on the left side of the screen.
If ‘Eclipse Platform’ is not installed, click on ‘CD-ROM’ button.

2. ‘Preparing Installation’ screen will appear. Wait for sometime for the process to
be over.

 3. The following screen will appear after sometime.

Click on ‘Next’ button. The following screen will appear.

4. Select ‘I accept the terms…..’ Check box and click ‘Next’ button.

The following screen will appear.

5. Click ‘Next’ button on the following screen.

The following screen will appear.

6. Click ‘Install’ button on the screen.

The following screen will appear.

7. This screen will take several minutes.

After completion of ‘Eclipse Installation’ the following screen will appear.

8. Click ‘Finish’ button on the screen.

After installation of the ‘Eclipse Platform’, the following screen will appear asking for ‘Websphere
MQ’ Installation.

9. Click on the ‘Launch IBM Websphere MQ Installer’ button.

The following screen will appear.

10. The ‘Preparing to install…’ will take sometime.

11. The following screen will appear after sometime.

Select ‘I accept the terms…..’ Check box and click ‘Next’ button.
The following screen will appear.

12. Select the ‘Custom’ check box and click on ‘Next’ button.

The following screen will appear.

13. Click ‘Next’ button.

The following screen will appear.

14. Click ‘Next’ button.

The following screen will appear.

15. Click ‘Next’ button.

The following screen will appear.

16. Click ‘Next’ button.

17. Select all the features in this screen by clicking on dropdown menus.

After selecting all the features the screen will look like the following screen

Click ‘Next’ button after selecting all the features. The following screen will appear.

18. Click ‘Install’ button.

The following screens will appear showing the status of installation process.

19. After completion of installation following screen will appear.

Click ‘Finish’ button.

20. After the installation the following screen will appear asking for ‘MQ Wizard’.

Click ‘Cancel’ button. The following screen will appear.

Select the ‘Create shortcut……’ and click ‘Ok’

The following screen will appear and might take sometime.

After the screen disappears Logoff ‘Domain Administrator’ and Login with ‘Local
Administrator’.

21. After logging from ‘Local Administrator’, click on ‘Prepare Websphere MQ Wizard’
icon on the desktop. The following screen will appear. Click on ‘Next’ button.

The following screen will appear.

After checking Websphere MQ configuration is over the following screen will appear.

22. Select ‘Yes’ check box and click ‘Next’ button.

The following screen will appear.

23. Select ‘Yes’ check box and click ‘Next’.

The following screen will appear.

24. Enter the required values in the following screen.

Domain---- The domain name in which application is installed.

User name The user account that has been created for Websphere MQ to use.
Password-- The password for the above user name. (Note: The password should not
be changed afterwards.)

After entering the required values, click ‘Next’ button.

25. The following screens will appear showing the status of Websphere MQ
configuration.

26. After the configuration is complete, the following screen will appear.

Click ‘Finish’ button. Logoff and Login with any ‘Domain User’ to use the Websphere MQ
application.
