I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the period, the students should be able to:
1. Understand Romantism music and its attributes;
2. Appreciate all of the distinct contributions of Romantic era to modern music;
and
3. Distinguish the difference f Romantism music to Classical Music.
B. PRIMING
Introduction of the New Topic
Short Game: The students will play “Guess the Picture”.
The class be divided in to four (4) groups. The teacher will show
zoomed pictures of musical instruments.
C. ENABLING ACTIVITY
“INVENTOR’S CONFERENCE 2019”
The class will be divided in to four (4) groups. Students will act as inventors and
need to draw blueprint their own device. The aim of their inventions should be to lessen
the amount of pollution that is assigned to their group.

E. ABSTRACTION
1. What does the term Romantic mean?
The Romantic Movement in music coincides with a general
Romantic movement in all arts.
At this period, the arts of literature and painting began to influence music.
In the Romantic era, music acquired poetic or philosophical meaning.
Antiquity, folklore, history and exotic cultures were examined as possible
sources of inspiration.
5. APPLICATION
The students will make and compose their own song that will express their emotion and feelings.
I. ASSESSMENT
Group Recitation:
To start the recitation, each group will have 100 points, each member will be ask certain
questions about music in Romanticism Era.
Every wrong answer will result to deduction of point.
IV. CLOSURE
Let the students reflect on the saying that ““Music is like a dream”
V. ASSIGNMENT
Since, Romantic era talks about breaking the rules set by Classical Era.
Students will individually write a whole song that reflects their emotions and feeling.
In a bond paper, students have to compose a song with melody and unique lyrics.
Students will sing their songs in front of the class.
