Activity Log

June- November, Isis Jewels- Sales Associate- 400 hours


2009
- I was responsible for operating the cash register, helping
customers choose the products they wanted and providing
descriptions of each stone that was sold in the store. I
developed a lot of communication and customer service
skills which allowed me to gain an experience in the
business marketing field.

September- June, Student teacher volunteer- 30 hours


2010
- On Fridays after school, I volunteered for a teacher in an
elementary school, helping out with administrative work,
such as marking quizzes/tests, organizing worksheets for
students, decorating class, photocopying worksheets, etc.

September- June, High School Club member- Canadian Red Cross Youth Group
2010
- This organization that we created as a school club for our
school raised awareness for global issues, such as hurricane
Haiti, and also included fundraising activities to raise money
for emergency events that the Canadian Red Cross
sponsored. I was responsible for selling products during
lunch periods and special school events and promoting the
organization using word of mouth and school
announcements. Every week after school, club members and
I discussed global issues that were happening around the
world and what can be done to help.

August 2010 KidsWorld Day Camp- counselor – 20 hours

- I substituted for a counselor at a private Jewish camp. I was


responsible for taking care of nine boys between eight to
nine years old. I was responsible for taking the campers to
their assigned activities, making sure they were participating
in all activities, creating a dance routine as well as a martial
arts routine with them,

October 2010- High School club President- Canadian Red Cross youth Club- 40
present hours

- I am currently the president of the school club and I am


responsible for approximately 20 students. Our club both
created fundraisers and focuses on social awareness
activities that raise awareness about global issues
happening around the world. I am responsible for creating
activities, coming up with schedules and also attending
regular monthly meeting with all of the Red Cross youth
clubs in the York region. For this year, our club has raised
money for the hurricane in Haiti and the hurricane in
Newfoundland.

October 2010- High School club member- DECA business youth club- 30 hours
Present
- I attend weekly meeting that help me prepare for the
regional and provincial competition. I go over case studies,
answer business related questions and practice my business
skills. I’ve been currently preparing for the Provincial
competition that will take place in the 14th of February in
which I will analyze a case under the Accounting topic.

September, 2009 Camp Robin Hood Counselor (Team Leader)- 10 hours

- In grade 11, I signed up for the leadership course provided


by my school. After a week, I dropped it; however, I took
responsibility over my role as a Robin Hood counselor.
Although I was not in the class, I decided to still continue and
act as a leader to a group of 10 grade 9 students in Camp
Robin Hood. As a leader I encouraged students to take risks
(physically), and I also encouraged students to be able to be
comfortable with each other. We participated in activities
that brought students closer and feel more confident about
themselves.

Reference Letter should be addressed to schulich admissions committee. The program I am


applying to is the IBBA program.
