Loudoun Grown Expo in Purcellville

Local vendors will be at the Bush Tabernacle this Saturday, Feb. 19 at 2 p.m. sharing their local
cuisine and locally produced alcohol. Almost 30 venders are set to open their products to the
public for free in Purcellville.

The inaugural Loudoun Grown Expo will showcase Loudoun County’s great local produce and
also the newly restored historic structure of the tabernacle, that finished renovation in 2010,
according to Purcellville’s Mayor Bob Lazaro.

“I think most people would agree that Loudoun County is a unique and wonderful place to live,”
Lazaro said.

“The wineries and the local produce is something to experience. What better way on a holiday
weekend to have something to do with the whole family, it’s family fun and it’s free.”

Although there will be a small fee for wine tasting, free food will be paired with free live music.
Local artists Mucho, Gusto, Kris Consaul of the Polka Dots, and Craggy Island are scheduled to
perform throughout the day.

Lazaro said this event is a great economic benefit to the town and exposing the public to these
vendor might encourage them to stop in and eat at the local places.
