• Praise God that we have received our visas and that our monthly support has increased!
• Pray for good health, especially for Sam, Lucy, and Kye.
• Pray for smooth travels, both by plane and by car.
• Pray for flexibility, patience, wisdom, humility, and a good sense of humor as we go into this new culture.
• Pray for wisdom in deciding where to live in the village.
• Pray for our relationships with the Lord and with one another– if our family is not standing on solid ground
our ministry to the Nizaa will not, either.
Choosing a House December and January
to Make Our Home in Pictures
Ever since Kory’s short trip to
Cameroon, we have asked you all
to pray for our housing situation
in Galim. He was able to see one
available house, which is in very
good condition and needs minimal
repairs, but is about 2 miles
away from the “Nizaa quarter”
meaning that language learning
would take a little more effort
because we wouldn’t really be
surrounded by the speakers of
the language. We asked the
lamido (muslim leader of the vil-
lage, like a “chief”) to find us a
house closer to the Nizaa quarter
and, on a recent visit by Martin
Weber, the lamido offered his pre-
vious residence. It is a bit smaller
and needs more repairs, but it is
right in the middle of where Nizaa
speakers are living. Soon after we
arrive in Cameroon, we will visit
Galim and decide on which house
to make our home. Please pray for
wisdom in this decision and for
quick progress on the repairs so
that we can move in as soon
as possible. Clockwise from top left: Kye is now two months old and getting more interactive by the
minute / He was baptized in Indy on the day after Christmas by Pastor May / Favorite past
time (besides sleeping and eating) is bath time! / Lucy with her cousin, June, at the zoo / She
was a big fan of decorating (and eating!) sugar cookies / Kye with cousin Ruben (June’s
brother), who is just one month older than him / Sam is such a good helper– he especially
loves shoveling snow and helping with cooking /This was taken just The mission of
before a date with Aunt Jenna (Cara’s sister) to the circus!
