Undergraduate Application
Beginning freshmen and transfer applicants for admission to Southeast are automatically considered for academic (merit) scholarships. A separate application for Student Involvement Scholarships is included in this booklet.

Southeast also offers many need-based scholarships which require you to file the FAFSA [Free Application for Federal Student Aid]. This form is

For award guarantee, the application for admission and the Student Involvement Scholarship Application must be received by December 15, 2009.
Other qualified applications will be considered on a funds-available basis until March 1, 2010.

Earning College Credit while in High School…
At Southeast, all students are required to take general courses called “University Studies”.
These courses are split into categories; Southeast students are required to complete one course from each category to graduate from Southeast.
You can view a list of University Studies courses at Southeast by category at www.semo.edu/ustudies/handbook/requirements.htm. The best classes to take
as early college credit or dual credit are 1) transferable to Southeast and
2) fill a University Studies requirement. International Baccalaureate (IB)
