Dear Students:

The exciting process of course registration begins this week. What electives would you like to take? Please discuss the
options with your teachers and family. If you don’t have the chance to complete registration during Homebase, you can
register for classes during break or lunch times. Just access the course registration site on a workstation in the MSMC,
print out your course selection sheet and remember to get your parent’s signature. Registration can only be completed on
campus, not at home.

Are you ready for World Maths Day? This week you will have a chance to show your skills.

Please see the bulletin for information on this summer’s ISM Sports Camps. What an excellent way to stay active this
summer! Camps are available for Basketball, Badminton, Soccer, Rugby and Volleyball. If you’re interested, complete the
form to reserve a spot.

Don’t miss the Friday mini-concert in the MS Courtyard. At 3:00 P.M. the Advanced/Intermediate Band will entertain us
all.

IASAS Cultural Conventions 2011
Next week, March 3rd, our Cultural Convention delegations depart
for Kuala Lumpur (Dance, Drama, Debate and Forensics) and Ja-
karta (Art and Music). We wish all delegates the best of luck and
hope that the hard work in the lead up to the Convention will be
reflected in the big performances required next week. Informa-
tion about the Cultural Convention events can be obtained via the
IASAS website next week as results for the debate and forensics
competition will be posted regularly by the host schools.

ISM GOODWILL GYMNASTICS MEET – SATURDAY, MARCH 5TH, MS
GYM
ISM will host our annual gymnastics meet on March 5th. This is a
huge event for our gymnastics team and this year we have record
numbers of entries with 300+ gymnasts coming to twirl/tumble
and flip their way through routines on Floor, Beam, Bars and Vault
from level 1 to 6 competition. This is a great event for our school
to host and our gymnastics coaches led by Coach Ramon along
with the Gymnastics parents volunteers have been very busy coor-
dinating many details for this event.
Please come along to the MS Gym on Saturday, March 5 to support
our Bearcat Gymnastics Team and to watch the event. Food and
drinks are available and it is a great day to watch some excellent
gymnastics here in Manila.
Schedule is as follows:
7:00 A.M. - 8:00 A.M. General Warm-up
8:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. WAG Level 1 competition
11:00 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. WAG Level 2 competition
12:30 P.M. - 1:00 P.M. Warm -up for Level 3, 4, 5 and
Level 1 boys
1:00 P.M. - 4:30 P.M. WAG Level 3, 4, 5 and
MAG Level 1 competition
Awards will take place in the Little Theatre right after each sec-
tion of the competition.
ISM INTERNATIONAL SWIM MEET
Last weekend ISM Sailfish Swim team hosted the first international
swim meet at our school pool with teams from Shanghai, Thai-
land, Jakarta and Singapore joining local teams from British
School Manila, Brent and Assumption College for a meet held Sat-
urday and Sunday morning. Over 240 swimmers raced and with
fantastic weather and superb organization by Coach Andy and his
team of Sailfish Parent volunteers the meet was a big success.
Thanks also to sponsors Fitness First, SM Supermarkets,

Information about all mid week/weekend fixtures for ISM teams
can be found via the ATAC blog. You can also access this informa-
tion via the ES/MS/HS divisional web pages. Please note the game
schedule does change often due to involvement with many local
schools so please check the page regularly to find out the latest
information of where and when the Bearcats teams are playing.

Thanks to all our great volunteers. If you are interested in joining our
group of volunteers in the Bearcat Den, please contact our BCD volun-
teers coordination Chantel (fam.wanten@hotmail.com) or pop in to
the Den near the HS Cafeteria and talk with one of our volunteers.

Information related to the IASAS Badminton Tournament can now

We are currently accepting housing offers for the 80 visiting Badmin-
ton athletes. If you can help with housing, please read details on the
blog and a housing letter can also be accessed via the blog or hard
copy picked up from the ATAC office.
