MY CHRISTMAS TREE

‘All year I look forward to putting up my Christmas Tree,

My Christmas Tree that holds the story of my life.

Each Christmas Santa brings me a new ornament to hang,

Years of ornaments will tell you my childhood at just a glance.

Baby’s First Christmas, Ballet shoes at age 3, a unicorn when I was

12 and many more.

Other ornaments come from year of friends, teachers, co-workers

and those lives I have touched.

All Year I look forward to putting up my Christmas tree.

Life brings people in and out of our lives each year,

But on Christmas Eve with family near or far, I decorate my

Christmas Tree.

With every ornament I hang, memories warm my heart, with the

story that came with each one.

Stories of love, friendship, family and hope.

This year when I put up my Christmas Tree, I know Santa will bring
me an Angel ornament,

For I am bringing this love and tradition to those in need.

Ever child and adult needs a tree of their own, a tree to share with
the world the story of their life!

 IN LOVING MEMORY OF CHRISTA ELIZABETH
KEENAN
June 16, 1981 - November 13, 2008
"Know that the Lord has set apart the godly for
Himself; the Lord will hear when I call to Him.
You have filled my heart with greater joy... I will
lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O
Lord, make me dwell in safety" (psalm 4:3a, 7a, 8)
Christa was born into a loving Christian family as the second of two
children. She and her brother Kevin were graced with the love and
tenderness of their dear father Stephen and mother Christine.
Brought into the Christian faith through the Blessed Sacrament of
Holy Baptism on July 19, 1981, Christa began her life learning about
her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ under the guidance of both her
parents and the brother whom she loved so much. On May 21, 1995,
Christa was confirmed into her faith by the rite of Christian
Confirmation at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Addison, Illinois.
Throughout her short life on this earth, Christa touched the hearts of
all who met and knew her. Her kindness, compassion, and
gentleness were augmented by her zest for life and her interest in
living each day to bring joy to bother her family and friends, but also
to all the people she met. Christa demonstrated an absolute
devotion to her mother and father, her brother Kevin and her sister-
in-law Christine, her grandmother Mama, and all in her extended
family. Commenting on her death, it was remarked by a friend that
they would always remember Christa as having a "twinkle" in her
eye.
Christa's life is a testimony to the unwavering strength of Christian
faith in the face of overwhelming odds. With her family at her side,
Christa faced the difficult task of handling not only the death of her
beloved father, but also her own serious health issues.
St.Paul gives testimony to such faith as he states in his letter to the
Philippians chapter 4, "I call do all things though Him (Christ) who
gives me strength." In her passing, Christa now rests in the Lord's
loving arms, and as Christ Jesus said Himself, "I am the resurrection
and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;
and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." (John 11:2S-
26a)
All of the ornaments that have been donated by her MicroTek
friends and family do so in honor of her love and friendship that she
shared with all of us.
Christa you may be gone but will never be forgotten.
CADEN MITCHELL HOPE Ornaments 2010 is
honoring Caden Mitchell. Caden was diagnosed
with MPS ll / Hunters Syndrome. Caden’s
Strength & Inspiration represents the day to day
difficulties patients face in the hospital. Caden is
an inspiration because at the end of the day,
despite everything he goes through at the
hospital, he loves being Caden. He wouldn’t trade
that for anything, no matter how bad things get. He has a “spirit”
that you get when you have a life altering, life threatening disorder
or disease. It is a special thing that children have to help them get
through these very scary and difficult things that no child should
have to face. You can see it in the eyes and smiles of these kids.
