A Message from the President

A Commitment to Quality
January

We’ve heard from many of our members in the past couple of weeks about how much they enjoyed the venue
and format of this year’s Annual Dinner. It certainly seems as if the move to the Wharton Center was a huge
success in the eyes of Chamber members.
I think it is also important to note that the reason we modified the format of the Annual Dinner this year
was because of feedback we have received from attendees of previous events. A survey following last year’s
Annual Dinner showed that the great majority of our members feel that networking opportunities are the most
important feature of the Annual Dinner. The strolling dinner format at this year’s event not only provided the
time for relationship building, but did so against the elegant backdrop of the beautiful campus of Michigan State
Tim Daman University.
President and CEO The change in venue and format of the Annual Dinner is part of the Chamber’s overall event strategy for
Lansing Regional 2010. We are proud of the high quality networking events and educational programs that we consistently deliver
Chamber of Commerce to our members. However, as we evaluated our total program and staff resources, the Chamber team determined
that we would best serve our members this year by focusing on the highest quality experience at our events while
slightly reducing the number of activities during the year.
The lineup of Chamber programs for 2010 is impressive, including our best-ever lineup of speakers at
