SMART COMMANDO

WRITE –UP

This project develops a wheeled, fighter robot that used to handle


security purpose and manages security threats if any. The aim of this project is to
cater the need of internal and external security to the industries, offices,
army and other places where human security is improved and no threat to human
life. This system eliminates huge losses due to terrorism and antisocial
elements. The system continuously monitors the critical location and this information
can be viewed and controlled through a PC in the control room with the help of a
wireless cam which is attached with the canon. If the robot detects a person with
suspicious objects like guns or other weapons it automatically trigger it for firing. The
module can be controlled by the security person from a remote location also by
viewing the surroundings. The image sensing has been improved by implementing
MATLAB based Image Processing techniques. So that if it detects any person
with suspicious objects it automatically shoots to him. The Robot is self balancing,
so that it can move in uneven surfaces even. The main advantage of robot is that it
can be implemented in such places where human intervention is not
possible. It can possess a better alternative in the case of security purpose, where
humans can be replaced by robots so that we can ensure a secure life.

• ARM7 TDMI basic programming
• Led interfacing
• Lcd interfacing
• Servo motor interfacing and speed control
• UART communication
• ADC interfacing
• Simulated the above programs in PROTEUS
• Completed only block diagram description and not hardware
implementation
• Started basic in MATLAB for image processing

Led interfacing

Initialize ports using IODIR(32 bit) as output led is made to blink by making the
connected pin using IOCLR(to clear port) and IOSET (to set port) delay function was
designed for 2 sec

LCD interfacing

Ports are initialized appropriately 8 bit command and data are split into 4 bit data and
command for serial transmission RS,EN and RW pins of LCD are initialized to receive data
and commands display text

UART Transmission

Using PINSEL register select UART 0/1 and assign it for reception or transmission
ULCR, ULSR, DLAB registers are used for control serial transmission

ADC
Using PINSEL register select the internal ADC 0/1 ADCR is used to control the
conversion The converted data is available in ADDR register
