 What Is a Greenwall?
A greenwall is a vertical garden. A system to attach plants to
walls of buildings and homes. There are a number of greenwall
systems to choose from:
1. Modular: a container filled with a growing medium that is
attached to the wall.
2. Industrial Felts: the plants root into the fibrous material,
with water and nutrients being delivered through the layers
of fabrics.
3. Façade Greening: A green façade is a structure that is
attached to the side of a house or building that allows plants
to grow from the ground up or from planter boxes.
4. Active or Passive: greenwalls can be connected to air
conditioning systems and these are called Active greenwalls
or Biowalls. Passive greenwalls are stand alone systems and
they deliver fresh air in their immediate area.

 What are the benefits of
Greenwalls?
Space saving benefits: putting your garden vertically you use
very little floor space. Great for Apartments, inner city terraces
and small urban development.
Insulation: Insulate your property with greenwalls. The small
cavity between the greenwall and the host wall remains at a
relatively constant temperature.
Aesthetic Appeal: our greenwalls add a distinctive style to
any room or building.
Energy Savings: The effects of evapotranspiration of
greenwalls has been documented by Canadian Studies.
Greenwalls can reduce the energy consumption of a building
by reducing the need for air conditioning. The cooling effect of
plants transpiring reduces the heat of buildings.
Acoustic Benefits: Greenwalls have good phonic qualities
and can be used to absorb sound waves.
Air Quality: Greenwalls act as a biofilter that captures
and denatures pollutants known as VOC’s (Volatile Organic
Compounds).
Biophilia: the sense of wellbeing that is created by our
interactions with plants.
Water recycling: The plants can purify slighty polluted water
such as Grey Water. Greenwalls can act as Biofilters removing
heavy metals.

 Our Systems
Greenwall Australia offers two unique systems. Both modular
Greenwalls and Industrial Fabric Greenwalls. Our Modules are
made of marine grade aluminium or galavanised steel. Industrial
felts are inserted into the modules and the modules are filled with
a planting medium. The modules are now ready to be planted.
Depending on the site and its location the modules can be
shipped planted or planting can occur onsite. Our unique Industrial
Fabric Greenwalls are designed to minimise water usage for the
harsh Australian climate. The system distributes water evenly and
also reduces evaporation from the surface of the wall.

Design: Greenwall Australia employs a qualified Architect, Urban
Planner and Landscape Architect to oversee the design stage.
High quality CAD drawings are available for all our designs and
shop drawings for any custom manufacture.
Project Management: With over 5 years experience designing
and building greenwalls we have refined our designs and
processes to produce world class greenwalls. Working with many
contractors and trades over the years we are able to complete the
project on time and on budget.
Horticultural Knowledge: Greenwall Australia employs qualified
horticulturalists. Our horticulturalists will prepare plant schedules for
our greenwalls that ensure the right plant for the right position.
Lighting: Greenwall Australia works closely with a manufacturer of
hydroponic lighting so we are able to find the right lighting for each
planting situation.
Irrigation: A qualified hydraulic engineer certifies custom irrigation
solutions for our greenwalls. Installation is carried out by a licensed
irrigation contractor.
Strategic Partners: Greenwall Australia has developed a number
of close relationships with other businesses to ensure quality
materials, on time at the right price.
Maintenance: Using our qualified staff we can provide quality
maintenance support for our greenwall installations.

Schedule of Fees
The price per square metre for our greenwalls is between
$1000 - $1800. Any custom works will be priced at a rate
subject to the project specifications. This price includes the
structure of the wall and plant material. Lighting and irrigation are
separate issues that will be addressed at the initial consultation.

Consultation
Our Consultation rate is $100.00 per hour.

Labour
Labour is charged out at $55 per hour per person.

Project Management
10% of the total project cost.
Contract
After the initial consultation and a design has been agreed on
we will draft a contract of works. Upon signing of the contract a
deposit of 30% of the contract price will be required to com-
mence works.
Travel
Travel is billed outside the Sydney Metropolitan Area.
