THE OFFICIAL YOUTH BELT SYSTEM OF THE ROYCE GRACIE JIU-JITSU
NETWORK IS AN ADAPTATION OF THE ORIGINAL 4 BELT STRUCTURE AS
SUGGESTED BY PROFESSOR PEDRO VALENTE TO INCREASE MOTIVATION IN
THE LEARNING PROCESS OF YOUNG STUDENTS.

Note: All belts have 4 stripes. Upon earning 4 stripes, a student is promoted to the next belt.
Stripes are earned at 4 month intervals. Minimum age for green belt is 14 years old.
Minimum age for a blue belt is 16 years old.
