I agree. There are always ways to save and improve. We didn¶t gain any service with
the revenue increases. We just maintained what we had. Moving forward we will have to
make those decisions, with the Mayor¶s office. The choices we will face are services we
can reduce to balance the budget.

I do support the Jacksonville Journey. The JJ is a program that is helping our entire
city¶s quality of life. The murder rate is down and crime has dropped through the police
force doing an outstanding job. The JJ programis helping prevent crimes before they
occur. I would rather use tax dollars for prevention measures insteadof incarceration
expenses.

I have received the First Coast Manufacturers. I am waiting to hear back from all major
endorsements about their decision. I have many wonderful individuals who are
supporting my campaign.

I have always lived with an honor code. I grew up in a strict but fair household. As a
Military Officer it has always been Duty, Honor Country. I will abide by the Sunshine
laws. We fell under the sunshine law with my committees. If I saw someone breaking
the law, I would contact the ethics office and or the General Counsel.

The Mayor and the State Legislaturehave established groups who are charged with
keeping the St. Johns River healthy. We must strive topreserve the beauty and
ecosystem of our St. Johns River. Water quality, quantity and access issues are
amongst the most pressing for our City and State. We need to keep our River clean,
and I fully support these groups in their efforts.

I am aware and actively engaged with these issues. Many people are making poor
decisions. One way I am trying to help is through mentoring. The City of Jacksonville
needs to rally around its citizens. We must continue executingour plans to reduce these
issues, while revisiting these issues with fresh insight. Intervention and/or prevention is
always the best ways to help people in need.

I believe consolidation is a good thing. I have read about what was going on with our
City before consolidation and corruption was rampant. I have been to South Florida
many times. I can not imagine having a county government working with that many
different towns and cities. For example: Broward has 282 cities, towns and other
populated places. I think 19 City Council members and a Mayor is enough people
working with our citizens in Jacksonville. We must utilize our consolidation to reduce
burdens on the taxpayers.

I really like this question. My job as a City Council person is to be a legislator. There is
plenty of work to be done as a Council person. My job is to aaddress the budget and
work on legislation to better the lives of the people of Jacksonville. I will be happy and
proud to fulfill those duties on the Jacksonville City Council.
