contradicts known facts of history or
the archeological record.

worlds, or involving aliens.
 Stories that involve technology or
scientific principles.

application of new scientific principles
or of new and different political or

children:
 well-rounded characters who develop
and change

Criteria that specifically apply to Science

Fiction:

technical possibility

mankind and the universe that portray
the world that young people will one
