Freeland Systems Partners with Amazon.

com to Provide a "Cloud" Computing

Platform to Facilitate HIPAA Compliant Customer Service

Freeland’s Amazon S3 relationship provides Freeland’s long-term archiving customers a platform

built on the same robust technology that Amazon.com uses to run its global web properties.

Venice, FL, March 09, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Freeland Systems today announced that it is leveraging the
Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) from Amazon.com to build HIPAA-complaint storage
applications within its proprietary line of AccessPoint technology.

Freeland Systems provides a complete suite of electronic image and structured report management
solutions for Cardiology, Phlebology, Radiology, Vascular, Cath, Molecular Imaging and
Echocardiography all of which are subject to HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act of 1996) compliance regulations. In the U.S., patient medical records are protected under HIPAA.
HIPAA security safeguards also require in-depth auditing capabilities, data back-up procedures and
disaster recovery mechanisms.

The proliferation of Data Centers and “Cloud” technology make off-site back up storage readily available
and relatively inexpensive. The problem is that all Data Centers and “Cloud” technology are not created
and/or utilized equally. Many do not have the sophistication or infrastructure in place to comply with
HIPAA requirements. Patient records can easily be lost, stolen or accessed inappropriately. Freeland's
Amazon S3 relationship provides Freeland's long-term archiving customers a platform built on the same
robust technology that Amazon.com uses to run its global web properties. For more detailed information
relative to Amazon.com's HIPAA compliant privacy and security controls please visit
