Description
In NIIT classes, we were asked to create simple dot net applications. On class room learning,
have exposure to the following basic concepts of .net.
SQL: Basic knowledge on SQL Concepts like querying data, managing database and tables - Joins,
manipulating data and tables, implementing indexes and views and simple Sql commands like
insert, delete, update commands etc
OOPS Concepts: Creating objects, encapsulation, polymorphism, value type and ref type and other
OOPS basic concepts.
ADO.Net: Basics
XML Basics: Xml schema, namespaces, creating group elements, rendering xml documents
ASP.NET Basics: Creation of simple web applications, creation of UI with designer using different
layouts.
Project #2
Project Description
Speech coding is a process of transmitting speech with highest possible quality of service,
thus maintaining the fidelity for which various speech coding techniques are used. Speech coding has
got wide range of applications including commercial telephony, digital cellular system, military
communication, voice mail etc.
The project is about the implementation of the models such as Linear Predictive Coding,
Voice-Excited Linear Predictive Coding, Residual-Excited Linear Predictive Coding and Wavelet
Speech Coding techniques in MATLAB. The aim is to single out the best coding technique which
caters the needs of modern day mobile communication. Here a speech signal is given as the input to
all the four techniques mentioned above and the comparison of these techniques is done based on the
quality of the reconstructed speech signal. The comparison shows that Wavelet technique is the best
as it offers better speech quality than the other techniques.
