REFLECTION

KKBI was done by doing some research for theory. It was very complicated and there
were lots of references to be read. I make some researches with other friends and we
shared our resources and make a few of discussions. It only a beginning to complete the
KKBI. And it was very difficult to come out with a good Daily Lesson Plan. When the
researches have done, I’m still confused with my DLP. I make some discussions with my
lecturer En.Bkhtiar to make me confidence with my own DLP.

After I satisfied with my own DLP, I try my DLP in front of my class. As I do the
macroteaching, I found that there were lots of mistake and some concept make my
friends confused. Also, I found that my DLP got many mistakes and I realize that it was
different between theory and application. We can say that on a paper, but it was a
challenge when we facing the pupils. And I was panic when I saw that my friends got
confused with the concept. I have made the improvement of my DLP after I found that I
have done a lot of mistakes.

I have choose the topic States of Matter from standard 5. I ask pupils to fill in the table
according to their observation from objects given to them. I found that I make few
mistakes during the discussions with the pupils. Pupils got confused with the objects
and the concept introduced. I also found that I gave lots of worksheet (3 worksheets)
and make the pupils bored during teaching and learning process. From that, I know that I
have to reduce work on paper and do more activities in the class.

When I go to school, I cannot try out the DLP that I have done during in IPPM. I have to
teach the pupils from standard 1 and 2. But, as I was told before that we can do the
same activity to our pupils although the topic was different. I have make some
improvement in the activities and the worksheet given to pupils. At first, I found that it
was hard to do the activities in group because pupils in standard 1 and 2 did not familiar
with the activities in group. But, after some times, the pupils can work in a group and
cooperate between them. I also found that, if the activities were fun pupils will eager to
do the activities.
I choose the topic Using Our Senses – Different Sounds Around Us for standard 1. The
activity was done in group and I found that they can group the objects according to the
criteria. I can see that the pupils can understand the concept introduced and can do the
activities correctly. As the discussion time, I found that pupils can discussed the answer
without any confusing about the concept. I also prepare only one worksheet to them so
that they do not bored during teaching and learning activities.

There a lot of differences between DLP for macroteaching and during the practicum,
such as the worksheet, the teaching learning process and the activity. I have make lots
of improvement from the DLP for macroteaching. Although the DLP for macroteaching
was only the application from the theory, but I have learnt a lot from the macroteaching. I
start from the macroteaching and make improvement day by day during practicum.

I hope after this, I can make more meaningful activities during teaching and learning
activities and I can improved more to become a good and excellent teacher.
