Signs and Symptoms of Weight Gain


If you've ever noticed your pants feeling a little bit tighter, or your shirt becoming more snug around
your stomach, chances are you're gaining weight. Although minor fluctuations of 1 to 2 pounds per day
are normal in most people, a consistent rise in weight for an extended period of time is a cause for
concern.
Causes of Obesity or Weight Gain
The most common cause of weight gain is consuming too much fat and not doing enough exercise to
burn off the excess calories. What typically leads us to gain weight and become obese are imbalances
in the mind and body:
• Physical Imbalance: stored toxins in our digestive tract can drain our energy and cause us to
eat stimulating foods such as sugar that can lead to weight gain.
• Nutritional Imbalance: eating foods that don't provide the body with the essential nutrients
that it needs to function optimally.
• Mental and Emotional Imbalance: indulging in excess food is often used to overcome
uncomfortable feelings in our daily lives, such as stress and anxiety.
By correcting these imbalances, researchers believe that we can naturally make better food choices
that can prevent us from gaining weight. Unfortunately, most methods of losing weight include the use
of drugs or surgery that decrease our appetite, block fat absorption, or reduce the volume of our
stomach. However, all of these treatments can have serious side-effects. Fortunately a set of simple
home remedies and natural foods can help us achieve this balance and even promote weight loss,

Other less common reasons for weight gain include the following:

Lose Weight Using Apple Cider Vinegar
Many people have found that Apple Cider Vinegar is a wonderful natural remedy for weight loss. Some
research suggests that apple cider vinegar increase our metabolism, which helps us burn more calories
even when we are resting. Therefore a simple weight loss home remedy is the following:

• Mix 2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar to 16 oz. of water.

• Take a few sips of this mixture throughout the day (don't drink it all at once).

Weight Loss Using Evening Primrose Oil


Similar to Apple Cider Vinegar, Evening Primrose Oil can help stimulate our metabolism and cause our
body to burn more calories. Therefore, a simple remedy to promote weight loss is to take a capsule of
Evening Primrose Oil once per day followed by a daily 20-minute cardiovascular exercise routine.
Green Tea and Caffeine for Weight Loss
Research has found that the combination of Green Tea and Caffeine can help to boost our metabolism
as well as help to suppress our appetites. Therefore, an effective remedy for weight loss is to take a
Green Tea supplement which contains 50mg of Caffeine and 90mg of EGCG (the active ingredient in
Green Tea) three times per day (once before each meal). Combine this with a 30-minute exercise

We have an old home remedy you can try. It does work. A friend of mine lost 10kgs in 1 week -
granted she drank 2litres of the mixture a day. But that is the beauty of it, because its all natural you
can drink as much as you like. The other good thing is you dont have to diet with this remedy. Take 1
heaped tablespoon honey, 2 teaspoons creme of tarte, 1 teaspoon finely ground ginger. Mix in a small
jub with some boiling water to dissolve and mix them well. Top up with cold water till you have
approx 1.5 Litres. Drink a tot full 3 x daily. What some people do is decant it into small bottles and
drink it instead of colddrink during the day. You will notice results after 2 days. It allows your body to
stablise as well, just keep drinking it, eat and drink your normal food. You might have to do a bit of
excercise to firm up and tone your body. Enjoy

OMG guys we all have same problem... i am about 21 and weigh 180 lbs.. can you believe it... al
though the weight i am carrying ( to be honest) does not really show...maybe a slight different in
what i look like and what i actually weigh... my cousin was extremely fat...(more like me i guess) he
has just been drinking the actual- strong n simple green tea... with i believe 2 "rotis- bread" per
day... and you wont believe how tremendously it has affected him... so all i am trying to say is, do
what you have to... your efforts may come second, but your will-power/ your mind is something that
can lead you to ANYY anything possible in this world!! its just about a month, try it out and let me

@ Aarti, I'm in the same boat as you are. I noticed that after age 35 the diet and life style that
wouldn't cause any weight-gain doesn't work any more and we start putting on weight. It's because of
the change in our metabolism. I luckily controlled it by cutting down on fried stuff and meal portions
and drinking 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar mixed in a glass of water at least 20 minutes before every
meal. Now I eat smaller portions of food but eat more often. I also added cardio to my work out. It
helped me lose 15lbs in 2 months without going on any strict diet or pills plan. Now I'm happy with my

@ Harry Mann, Using Apple Cider Vinegar when taking insulin should be fine. Just to be safe, start
with one tbs of ACV mixed in one glass of water and work your way up to 2tbs. Also keep monitoring

@ Neha, for dark spots on the skin, applying lemon juice or apple cider vinegar directly on to the
problem areas daily for overnight helps. Wash it before you go in the sun. It takes a little while in

I'm going on 53 I Love my life I'm not overweight just have fat pockets I can't get rid of no matter how
much exercise or Diet I walk on my tread mill every day for 15 min and do tummy exercise and

The Apple Cider vinegar will work for a little bit but.... YOu really have to do the exercise..... with
out this, you will be back to being over weight. seriously....... If you start the first day do something
for 1 minute.... just 1 minute, then work your way up.... By the end of the week if your doing 5
minutes is a start. If you find yourself getting less motivated take a picture of a body and put your
face on the picture... Just think about what you will look like.... BUT be realistic. I am over weight
and have started my workouts doing 1 minute of walking and then at the end of the week I was at 10
minutes. Now a month later I am walking 30 minutes as thats where I am happy and then I find other
fun things to do.Find something your happy with and be smart about it.. DOn't go and think you can
lift 200lbs to start... You want to loose weight but do it safe. The Cider, if you start and then you
stop it.... You gain it all back....... so don't depend on it.... its fine to start but while your taking this
start to eat healty...... Make a journal of your day and you will see by the end of 6 months where you
were and what your at. Its amazing what you can accomplish when you put your head to it.

I gave my granddaughter 3tablespoons of applecidar vinegar + 2tablespoons lemon juice in 1cup of
warm water everyday for 3 months . I had her stop drinking Soda , She eat only wheat bread , lean

the vinergar really works. I take it straight up like it is, but its better to mix it because it has a
horrible taste. But you will definitley shed the weight. And it also helps to clear dandruff also.

hi everyone. the best thing to do is eat less as in eat lesser then what you always eat and walk lik 30
to 1 hour a day walking really helps to boost your metabolism. also dont eat any fatty or take away
food also drink lots of watter.by doing this i lose lik half a kilo a day. maybe it might be differnt with

honey in a warm glass of water daily should be okay during breastfeeding. However,some infants can
be sensitive to any changes made in mother's diet, so start taking it more diluted in small doses and

Hi Fatima, It's not healthy to try to lose weight in days. Keep on exercising regularly. Start drinking 2
tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar mixed in a big glass of water through out the day, especially before the
meals. Also adding more fruits and vegetables and cutting down on starch i.e. rice, white bread, pasta
helps! It might take months to achieve your target but you'll get there. Good luck!

well, i just had my third child. i put on 15 extra pounds.i love to work jog and workout on my
eliptical. i have found my sauna suit to prove very advantages to me. it helps to melt the pounds
away fast. you can pick one up at wal-mart for .77. i have lost 8 pounds total. i will soon start
incorporating the apple cider vinegar to my diet, in the morning. someone asked about regular
vinegar, it's kind of harsh to the stomach, but it does work. i drink it from time to time when i think
of it, but will be consistent with it from now on. cayenne pepper is so hot, but if it boost the
mtbolism that's a plus. i was once taking pills for anxiety. i stop taking those and substituted them
with 'stresstabs for weight control' they mellow me out the whole day. it takes about a week for them
to get in the system. it's a vitamin with everything you need, but it targets stress. i got 3 kids

I'm 5'3" & weighed 135-142 which was heavy & caused fatigue. I have lupus & was a single mom etc etc
so I was under much stress. The stress I learned, would cause my body to store fat, and as well, I ate
comfort food or binge ate, then felt miserable the next day. I finally got enough gumption to eat half
my plate when going out for breakfast, then sipping my tea. I learned that if you eat til your full,
you're eating too much. After eating half portions for a few weeks, my stomach shrank & I simply
couldn't eat more! So I started taking doggy bags & would eat the other half of whatever I ordered
later. I learned not to lay down right after eating. I learned to drink lemon with water first thing in
the morning & started walking more, getting off the bus earlier. I did lose weight. But it was when I
started drinking apple cider vinegar for high blood pressure - that the weight seemed to just start
melting away! I went from a 9-10 to a size 7. I never thought I'd see a size 7 ever again! So basically
all natural remedies really helped: lemon, apple cider vinegar, honey, water, walking, & after eating-
getting something done around the house or going for a walk and finally, destressing my life-not
letting things get to me so much.

As far as weight loss goes, every single person is different. So what works for one, might not work for
another. I have 2 kids, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old...I am now needing to shed the last of the baby
weight. At first it was hard, but I have been eating SMALLER meals, walking, and drinking 1/2 my
body weight in ounces of water (which you should do anyway). And I am seeing the pounds fall off.
Not like 10 at a time, but a few here and there. eating healthy and exercise is the key, but good luck
with any otehr way you want to try.

if the more muscle you have increases your metabolism, wouldnt that make it impossible for body
builders to keep there figure? they would have to eat a rediculous amount of calories so they didnt
shrink. i think it should say lean muscle mass, which in turn increases endurance, and resting

You know if you all really want to lose weight... weight watchers is what does it. im 19 and i weighed
181 when i started weight watchers in march 09. in 6 weeks i was down to 165. then i just got side
tracked and stopped all together. but right now i am down to 150 and did all that on my own. So
everyone your best bet is to do weight watchers. Also this may sound crazy but when you are working
out wrap plastic wrap around your stomach area... i was going into military and had to get my weight
down for the requirements and I was doing that and you wouldnt believe the amount you sweat and

nothing works you will all try these things and than gain it all back. I know

Loose weight by eating less and walking more.If eating less makes those hunger pains unbearable, eat
very very small amounts more often. Overloading your stomach all at one sitting is unhealthy,not to
mention you feel horrible.All of these gimmicks out there is not a long term solution.We all know

ACV - I have been using ACV (Braggs) since the beginning of July and dropped about 7 pounds the first
3 weeks. I found it to be a great appetite suppressant but after about 5 weeks I got use to it and
gained like 5lbs back - I am still taking the ACV everyday - but I have mixed feelings about this
remedy. I saw some posts on coconut oil and I will most likely give that a shot - as long as it\\'s natural

coconut oil can bought from any asian/indian grocery store. eat less pasta, noodles,rice. drink 2
glasses of water or very diluted drink on empty stomach before any meal as this helps you eat less,
plenty of exercise or even jogging in you living room/garden. raise ur arms up while you are running
forward+raise them down while you are running backwards(living room exercise only)always
