Introduction

The technology today plays a vital role in our society. It makes man work easier and fast.

It lessens error of work by using machines. It reduces costs to an organization from paper works

up to computerized working system. Many manual transactions can be computerized by using

software applications or computer systems to make work easier and efficient.

Information technology can give a company ready access to improve product and service

quality, reduce costs, increase productivity in smallest time possible, and communication

between employees and to make things with lesser effort but having a better output and even

improve company morale.

The process of enrollment in schools nowadays requires information technology. The

objective of Information Technology is to help humanity from doing loads of work over time. By

having computerized system, the cost during enrollment will be cut down and much effort will

be reduced.

The project involves a series of studies that covers all the requirements of creating a

computerized enrollment system. The goal of the study is to provide an efficient computer-based

system that will easily update, retrieve, and maintain student records.

The developer’s main concern is to make a system that will help to speed up the process.

The subject of this study is the Enrollment System of Ebenezer Montessori Christian School, Inc.

The study aims provide a system that will serve their Registrar accurately and with efficiency in

matters related to their enrollment.

1.1 Background of the Study

The developer has chosen Ebenezer Montessori Christian School, Inc. to design and to

develop a computerized enrollment system.

Ebenezer Montessori Christian School, Inc. was founded in the year 1995 by Mr,

Filomeno L. Bartolome & Mrs, Cresencia S. Bartolome, They envisions an education institution

that shall emphasize the importance of fearing God an institution that produce not only students

who excel academically and globally competitive individual but an institution that give the right

education with God as their foundation. The institution was founded as private non-secretarial

institution. It started with 50 pupils enrolled in Pre School to Grade 2 with two classrooms and

an office building. After a year, the population tripled and more students kept coming every

school year.

With the expansion of its facilities – (the three storey building of Intermediate and High

School Department air-conditioned classroom of Pre-School and Primary Department covered

court, Laboratory, Libraries Computer Room, Audio Visual Room, air-conditioned offices

spacious canteen, TLE Room and swimming pool – the first school in City of San Jose del

Monte with swimming pool,), concurrent with the introduction and expansion of more programs

– (Pre-School Course Elementary Course, Swimming Lessons, Tutorial Services, Summer

Classes, Music Lessons and Sports Clinic.)

The success of the effort of the institute is firmly evidenced by the high performance of

its students in the different competitions they are joining and of its graduate in the tertiary level.

To ensure the quality education, the institute employs faculty members who are qualified

in terms of academic degrees and teaching experience, The qualifications of these teachers are
enhanced through In – Service Trainings seminars, Spiritual Retreats and encourage them to

continue their study to a higher level of learning to keep them abreast with the latest teaching

approaches and help the institution to facilitate proper education while teaching the

pupils/students to fear God the most.

The school believes that total commitment to develop God-fearing, academically

excellent and globally competitive individual.

The School’s objective is to promote Christian values through a Biblical integration of

faith, hope, and learning to the pupils/ students rooted in Jesus Christ.

To provide the basic knowledge and lay the foundation of skills, attitude and values that

is essential to the child’s personal development.

To provide the learning experiences which increase the child awareness of his/her

environment and responsiveness to the changes in society.

To enhance the pupil/student knowledge of identification and love for the country and its

people which he/she belongs.

To promote work experience which develop and intensify the pupil/student orientation to

the world of work and creativity in order prepare him/her to engage in honest and gainful

occupation.

To give emphasis in the mastery of basic tools of learning for further exploring and

acquiring intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, moral, values and physical concepts, ideals,

attitudes and skills in order to develop the whole person.

 The developer decided to create a system that will help the Registrar to speed up the

processing of enrollment in Ebenezer Montessori Christian School, Inc, save records in database

and print transactions. The developer proposed a system that will enable them to make an output

that do not require much work and effort. It will help to improve the process of enrollment;

accepting new enrollees will be easier. Therefore, the school organization will have a better

process of transactions and in exchange, the school will gain more enrollees satisfaction and

improve the school’s status and morale.
