Low Gross Leads Team To Victory!

On another beautiful day, eighteen players


3 PLAYERS TIE FOR LOW NET! assembled into four teams on the first tee- two
KENNON HAS SHOT OF THE DAY! foursomes and two fivesomes- with the first group
of Marty Arnold, Ron Majors, Tom Thornhill,
and second time visitor C. J. Young teeing off
The Low Net for the day—at 3 under-was shared by promptly at 5 pm. The Team 2 fivesome of Lee
19 handicapper Russ Jobson, 17 handicapper Doug Pearson, Danny Morris, Mike Gutt, Jim
Gooding, and 17 handicapper (more on this later) Williamson, and Russ Jobson followed next and

As with last week, there were a total of 8 birdies, Kennon. Teeing off last at approximately 5:30 pm

Shot Of The Day went to last week’s winner Ollie Pearson, Danny Morris, Mike Gutt, Russ
Kennon who this time holed it out from the sand on Jobson, and Jim Williamson, with the latter
# 3 for birdie. Honorable Mention went to Andy unfortunately eliminated-- by the “luck” of the
Tyber who hit a 195 yard four iron from the sand on draw- from receiving the free brewsky. Team 1 was
# 7 onto the green, enabling him to make Birdie. one shot short to end up in second at 12 under
(Oddly, both of these players were on the losing while Team 4-after dropping Schmal’s two birdies-

Worst Shot Of The Day went to Doug Gooding
