Project Undertaken:

Infrared Remote Control (Minor): It controls the switching operation (on-off)

of an electronic device such as lamp or fan. It consists of two sections –
Transmitter & Receiver. Transmitter has IR led’s driven by 555 timer.
Receiver has a sensor that receives IR waves and drives the Relay for
switching operation.

Wireless Weather Monitoring Station (Major): It is a system that gives

information about weather like Temperature, Wind speed, Light intensity.
Have two sections – Transmitter & Receiver. Transmitter has sensors that give
electrical output signal according to the climate condition. These outputs of
different sensors are multiplexed and then converted in 8-bit binary format.
This binary data is given to microcontroller. Microcontroller performs framing
of data bits and enabling of Multiplexer, ADC, Tone generator. This data
frame4 bit) is given to tone generator, generates a specific tone to the data
frame. This tone is further frequency modulated and transmitted in the open.
Receiver receives modulated data; demodulate it, then fed to tone decoder so
as to get the actual data frame. This frame is given to LPT port of PC. A code
written in C interfaces the hardware to PC, maintains synchronization between
Tx & Rx, takes the data from LPT port and shows on the screen.
