DESIGN CONCEPT
COALESCENCE
Definition:

● What a park is for?

The park where the site is, is not connected to the water
supply network of USJ 2. To create a solution to this
problem I am proposing for the implementation of a falaj
system to be implemented into the site to help facilitate
the use of water for the usage of bringing clean water to
water the different plants in different areas of the site.

FALAJ AQUAPONIC WATER SYSTEM
My plan is to Integrate the aquaponic system into the falaj
system . An aquaponic system uses up to 10 times less water
than traditional agriculture. The falaj system uses natural gravity
to bring water down the sloped green roof ramp. The running
water coming down the falaj should aerate the water, this is
needed for the fish to survive in the aquaponic. I will also
implement a waterfall feature for aeration as running water may
not be enough for such a huge aquaponic. Evaporative cooling.
The system is suitable for fresh and saltwater species, including
tilapia, carp and bass, the range of vegetables is limited to
water-heavy crops like cucumbers and green leafy vegetables

GREEN ROOF RAMP WALL SYSTEM
The green roof ramp wall system was created to fuse the
building to the site This system was partially inspired by the site
itself as it was at the top of an artificial hill. The Atelier Alice
Trepp estate is a very similar use of carving the building out
from the site. There is a ramp system integrated onto the green
roof to connect the ground floor to the roofing and allow the
visitors to explore every part of the site. Using a green roof
system reduces urban heat island effect. It reduces
greenhouse gas emission. It also Insulates the building from
the sunlight and heat.
