Delicious Strawberries!
I like how crocheted food looks, so I came up with my own pattern for strawberries.

materials needed: crochet hook size 4.00, worsted yarn in red for strawberry & green for stem & leaves
part, brown for 'chocolate' (optional), stitch marker, small amount of stuffing, yarn needle for sewing
gauge: 7sc=2" 2rows=1"
finished size is about 3"

*NOTE* do not join rounds, use stitch marker and move it after each round is finished

with green: leaves


rnd 1: ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch, place marker
rnd 2: *2sc* around (12sc)
rnd 3: ch 3, sc in same st (counts as first sc, plus ch2, sc)
*sc, ch 2, sc* arnd, join, finish off, leave a long end for sewing (12 ch2 sps)

stem: ch6, sl st across, finish off, leave a long end for sewing
sew stem of center of leaf top part, on rnd 1

strawberry: with red:


rnd 1: rnd 1: ch 2, 6sc in 2nd ch, place marker
rnd 2: *2sc* around (12sc)
rnd 3: *sc*
rnd 4: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st* (18sc)
rnds 5-8: *sc*
rnd 9: *sc in next st, sc dec* (12sc)
rnd 10: stuff firmly
*sc dec* (6sc)

finish off, leave a long end for sewing and sew closed

for chocolate dipped strawberry, work rnds 1-5 of strawberry in brown yarn
then switch to red yarn for remainding rnds

take leaves part and sew firmly to tp of strawberry, near rnds 2 & 3
if you want, 'paint' black seeds on the strawberry with a thin black marker or pen

enjoy your yummy treat!
