Linda Alexander

I left MTV in 2012 (1985-2012) after 27 amazing years working in NY, LA

and Miami. Topping that experience and finding my next passion was tough
but in 2014, MTV Film’s David Gale and I co-founded We Are The Mighty, a
media and marketing brand for the military. I’m also on the board of podcast
publisher Auddy.

I’ve been married for 19 years. We have three grandkids and live in Miami.
Rebecca Batties
The “not for profit” and “for profit” and the Arts are areas in which I am
working at the moment and I’m loving it. I’m on the board of “The Wheeler
Centre,” a very unique one-of-a-kind centre for “books, writing and ideas”
and we are always looking for patrons large and small for our events. As
well, I have been consulting with private foundations in the growth area of
impact philanthropy.

Using the amazing learnings from MTV international, an experience

which has been almost impossible to replicate anywhere else, and, for
a time at Discovery, I am consulting in international media. The online
gaming space, which I was thrown into at UGO (Underground Online) for
a time, remains part of my world also.

Music remains a major part of my life. I still spend a lot of time travelling
and listening to and experiencing all kinds of music and seeking out great
art all over the world.
Richard Bencivengo

It’s Wendy and me, packing our car, for our next “big” adventure
together. We recently moved to La Paz Mexico BCS, from Los An-
geles and are living the life of retired American X pats. After MTV,
my career took many turns. From working for ABC TV, Showtime,
E! and Playboy, to becoming an entrepeneur and buying a custom
design and fabrication company, Lexington Design + Fabrication.
Lexington specialized in Theme entertainment, Museums Exhibi-
tions and High Definition TV environments. We had 3 locations, 2 in
LA and one in Orlando FL.

Retirement is terrific and I’m excited about the future. My two sons
are grown. Sam lives in NYC and Luke in Santa Monica, CA.
Mark Booth
After leaving MTV in 1988, I worked abroad in various positions for
the next 20 years. I left the entertainment business in 2001 to work
for NetJets Europe based in London. For the past 10 years, I have
been living with my wife, Lauren in bucolic Connecticut, along with
our 6 children. Presently, I am sitting on a couple boards, both local
and national.
Marcy Brafman Post MTV I have continued to
work on my paintings. I show
my work in NYC and
Internationally. I still have the
same studio in Lower
Manhattan.

My website is:
www.marcybrafman.com
Instagram @marcyhope.

My tagline is “I am a media
artist who paints." I currently
have work at the Everywom-
an Biennial in London and will
show with Vellum Projects in
the Art on Paper NY Fair in the
Fall.

I am still married to the same great guy, Michael Scheinfeld, since

1982. We have one terrific son, Sean Scheinfeld. He just
graduated JD Magna Cum Laude from New York Law School. My
work in media post-MTV included a decade as General Manager
at Caesar Video Graphics. VP Creative Services at Classic Sports
Network. Launched my own shop MH Brafman Studio in 1997.
Started working in Production Design and worked mostly in
Culinary Production at the Food Network on Emeril Live! and Iron
Chef America amongst many other shows.

Consulting now with media start ups on developing notable

brands.
Ronald “Buzz” Brindle
After leaving MTV, I returned to my career in the radio industry,
eventually moving Upstate to Saratoga Springs where I married
my wife, Molly, programmed several award-winning radio sta-
tions in the Albany market, served as a faculty advisor at Siena
College and as a mentor at Skidmore College, and helped raise
our two daughters.

Now that both girls are married and pursuing successful ca-
reers, I’ve re-enrolled in college at the age of 74 to work on the
completion of my bachelor’s degree which I neglected to earn
after dropping out of Northeastern University in my sophomore
year to pursue my career in broadcasting.
John Cannelli

For the last 8 years, after an early retirement, I’ve been a horticultural
volunteer at the Central Park Conservancy.
Ken Ceizler
When I left MTV, I joined Fox Television as a Development Executive and
in-house Producer/Director. I produced and directed various shows
including “Comic Strip Live”,“Sunday Comics” and the syndicated sketch
comedy series “Culture Clash”.

Following that, I became an independent TV Director doing shows for MTV,

Comedy Central, HBO, E! Entertainment, Nickelodeon and the Disney Chan-
nel. A partial list includes: “The Chelsea Handler Show”, “All That,”
“Kenan and Kel,” “Even Stevens,” “Lizzie McGuire,” “Wizards of Waverly
Place” and “Austin and Ally”. I now enjoy having a grandson with a grand-
daughter on the way.

I’m also having a lot of fun co-hosting a podcast with my good friend, SNL
alumni Gary Kroeger. Cleverly titled “The Gary & Kenny Show.” We call upon
many of our show business friends to share anecdotes, advice and complain
about “the kids today”. Doug Herzog was recently on where he finally got the
chance to unload on MTV. Just kidding. Perhaps I can convince some of you
other MTV folks to come on and tell your version of events.

Honored and grateful to be included in this celebration.

Mark Chusid

Whoa now. Hold on just a minute. Just pause. Pause. Everyone

pause. Are you telling me that I am no longer 24 years old?
Linda Corradina
Professionally; post MTV I did a tour at VH1, Oxygen and Martha Stewart
Living. After Martha went to jail, I happily retired.

Personally; post MTV I got divorced, and remarried a wonderful guy. I had a
third daughter in 2002 and I am finally an empty nester.

I am fortunate to spend my days between NYC and Woodstock NY

doing pretty much anything I want. Lately, I enjoy gardening, keeping fit and
spending time with the people that I love; many who are here tonight.
Bob hired me at WASEC 41
Marshall Cohen
years ago, in the middle of 1980,
as Director of Programming for
The Movie Channel. I was 29;
he was much younger. When
I left MTVN after 13 years, I
opened Marshall Cohen As-
sociates, consulting for media
and Internet companies on
consumer research.

I’ve been lucky to work with

clients who are also good
friends— Bob (Century 21,
Six Flags, Robinhood, Round
Hill), John Lack (ESPN2,
ESPNews), Gerry Laybourne
and Lisa Gersh (Oxygen, The
Weather Channel, NBC, Martha Stewart, goop), Mark Rosenthal (CurrentTV and
Katz Media), Mark Booth (BSkyB), Janet Scardino (Red Nose Day), Judith McHale
(Discovery), C.J. Kettler (Hearst), Judy McGrath and Kenny Lerer (NowThis), Scott
Kurnit (About), and even Tom Freston (the feasibility study for the Oprah Winfrey
Channel), among others.

In 2000, Bob asked me to build the research department at AOL, which led to AOL/
TimeWarner and to the Pilot Group, where I was fortunate to do research on many
of our portfolio brands like Casa Dragones (some great “tasting” focus groups),
DailyCandy, Thrillist, OTX Research, and our TV and Radio Stations, and, I recently
had the pleasure to work for Bob at iHeart (development of the iHeartRadio app and
tracking studies) and on a project for Jarl, at NPR.

I’m still living in Larchmont with Ellen (married since 1980) who is teaching writing at
Purchase College and my two kids are Rob (now 36, a TV writer) and Lizzie (now 26,
finishing college and an art educator).

When not immersed in data, you might find me playing my bass guitar—or learning
to play the stand-up bass (my pandemic project).

Happy. Healthy. Grateful.

David Cohn
Post-MTV, I’ve worked at Vice, Current TV, Shazam and Interlude/Eko.
Much less fun and fewer free concert tickets.
Alex Coletti

Since leaving MTV in 2007, I have produced and directed concerts for Lady
Gaga, Jay-Z, Beyoncé and The Pope as well as Elvis Costello’s TV series
Spectacle, five Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies for HBO,
several Covid related fundraisers for Global Citizen and Robin Hood, and
I am now currently the director of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon
and producing Audible’s Words + Music series with Bill Flanagan and Van
Toffler.

I live in Brooklyn with my wife Laura and our daughter Adelaide.

Roberta Cruger works at the USC Norman Lear Center’s Hollywood,
Health & Society program as Outreach Specialist. She’s contributed to
Discovery’s Planet Green Channel, written for Salon, LA Times, MSNBC,
Smithsonian, National Geographic, AFP newswire, and others, as well as
gigs from MCA/Universal to the Grammy Host Committee.

After NYC, she lived in Seattle, Miami Beach, and now resides in
Pasadena, CA.

I’ve worn many hats over the past 40 years since the August 1,1981 bus ride
over the bridge to Fort Lee, N.J. for MTV’s thrilling launch, but my most
important hat has been that of “mom” to Michael and Laura.

My professional hat in the 80’s and early 90’s continued as writer, producer
and consultant on numerous projects in TV and film, here, there and
everywhere.

While working on a project with Microsoft in the early ‘90s, I became

intrigued with a new word I was hearing... Internet...and in 1995 founded an
online publishing, marketing and web development company.

Since the company’s acquisition in 2009, my current hats include

consultant, producer, marketing strategist, crowdfunder and all around
problem solver.

As I was married the same year as MTV’s debut, I am also celebrating 40

years with my husband, Bob. 40 years sure have flown by quicker than I ever
could have imagined!

Happy Birthday MTV!

Larry Divney

After 12 years working for ABC Radio, in 1980 John Lack and Bob
McGroarty hired me to start up the MTV Ad Sales Division. Mine was a
relative brief tenure as I moved on to a new start up network, Cable Health
Network. After leaving MTV, I spent many years in various Ad Sales
Positions at Cable Health Network, CNN, A&E, Comedy Channel and
Comedy Central.

In 1999 I was appointed CEO of the Comedy Central Joint Venture of MTV
and HBO. It was a wonderful experience and I retired from that position in
2004. A few months after retiring, Judy McGrath hired me back into the MTV
Networks Ad Sales Division and after a few months I was named President of
MTV Networks Ad Sales.

So my cable career started as head of Sales for MTV and 25 years later end-
ed as head of sales for MTV Networks with many stops elsewhere.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at THE 40TH!

“Two Distant Strangers.” Co-Executive Producer of Netflix feature
documentary “A Secret Love.”
The past few years of my life have been a roller coaster!
I've learned to just let go of the security bar, raise my hands up
Nancy Feingold
over my head, scream, laugh and enjoy the ride.
Scott Fishman

What have I done since leaving MTV? A lot…but I’ve never left the family. June
1st 1981 was my first day at MTV and 40 years later, I’m still here! I’ve moved
networks, but I guess you can say I’m an MTV Networks/Viacom lifer.

I left Rock and Roll for the Slime & Gak of Nickelodeon in May 1990,
relocating to help open Nick Studios @ Universal Orlando. Teresa Hanifan
(MTVN-HR) and I reconnected there and were married in 1999. We have 5
children who range in age from 37 to 19.

I became the GM of Nick Studios in 1997, but when the studios closed in
2005, I moved over to Spike as the Exec in Charge of Production for Impact
Wrestling and the UFC. Viacom bought Bellator MMA in 2011 and I became
the SVP/Executive Producer of that promotion. We’ve aired Bellator on Spike,
Bellator on Paramount, Bellator on CBSSN & DAZN and now Bellator on
Showtime.

I get to travel the world both personally & professionally, which is fantastic, I’m
an avid golfer, love spending time with the family and still find time to play my
guitar and piano. It’s been an amazing ride and it isn’t over yet!
Ann Foley
Retired, happy.
Will always be grateful to Bob for letting me in the room.
Salli Frattini

When I departed MTV in June of 2007, I took a short time to catch up on life
and raising my 3 children who were teens and in middle school at the time.

In October, 2008, I launched my production company, Sunset Lane

Entertainment, by producing the first LIVE Entertainment Special on
YouTube. For the next 12 years I continued to executive produce cool
projects, bridge the gap between broadcast shows & the web, became a
show runner for Network specials, work on non-for-profit events and
develop shows w/various partners.

I’m a proud parent of (3) college graduates, have been happily married to
Rob Hess for 33 years & life’s adventures continue. In 2020 we sold our
home of 30 years, downsized to an apartment in S. Norwalk, Ct. and have
settled into our beach home in Charlestown Beach, RI.

Happy 40th MTV!

Unfortunately, unlike some

Bobby Friedman
of my colleagues, I’m still
working since leaving
MTV :). For the last bunch
of years, I was at Playboy,
New Line Cinema, Radical
Media, Classic Media/
Golden Books, and AOL...
where I had my second
tour of duty with Pittman.

Most recently, I founded

and am CEO of Bungalow
Media + Entertainment,
where I’ve been busy with
a bunch of series and films,
including (shameless plug
time) Roswell, Surviving
Jeffrey Epstein, The
Preppy Murder,
Emmy-Award winning GIVE, and
prepping for the upcoming Little Richard and Nelson Mandela films...and still into
a little Modern Love, among others. Believe it or not, I’m also working on a reboot
of Remote Control.

I was thrilled to be roasted by Judy and my MTV colleagues for my

Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame induction (I must be old).

Still married to Dr. Elissa and roaming the halls as a board member at Columbia,
Mount Sinai, Vassar, and AccuWeather...telling all who will listen to a little white lie
that I, too, was one of the inventors of MTV.

P.S., yes, I did steal the Weasel Award in the ultimate weasel move. And yes, my
daughters Katie and Caroline are still more mature than I am, with Katie saving
lives at Penn Hospital and Caroline, post Columbia B School, doing global strate-
gy at American Express.

After 40-plus years in music, TV, and theater I’ve started Chapter Two.
A few years ago I became a partner in a blockchain tech company
developing financial tools for unbanked and underbanked populations.

When COVID hit we pivoted to using the technology for secure, encrypted
medical testing. Our company, TESTD.com, is now the most advanced sys-
tem in the field of Electronic Medical Records for medical test scheduling,
data management, and reporting, with domestic and international clients.
Separately, we’re building our own state-of-the-art testing labs and can put a
complete, clinical lab in a cruise ship stateroom.

(Just to keep my hand in, I do a little consulting for “Penn and Teller: Fool Us.”)
Mark Goodman

Since my MTV days I’ve gotten married 3 more times (4th time is the
charm)... had a beautiful daughter named Spencer (now 28!) and have
managed to continue to do what I love.

For the last 5 years I’ve been having a blast co-hosting a live music talk
program 5 days a week on Volume, the world’s only talk channel about
music on SiriusXM .

Eleo Kammerer-Hensleigh
I continued in Promotion/Marketing/Strategy at various Media brands.
Life after the best: MTV, VH-1 and Nickelodeon- included Fox, The Walt
Disney Company and more.

A native New Yorker, I am so glad I made the time to live somewhere else-
Los Angeles- for almost 14 years. There is life outside of NYC, even if it
involves a lot of car time and other seasons, like earthquake and fire.

I am back in NYC and retired from the more youth centric field of Media.
I now consider myself to be in elder care (of my mother) which involves
long hours, multi tasking and problem solving- which my former career
prepared me astoundingly well for.
Mona Kligman

Launched numerous TV shows including Gordon Elliott, Fox Sports Net,

Ainsley Harriet, Iyanla, Tony Danza and Nate Berkus, and one of my
favorites , Who Wants To Be A Millionaire/Super Millionaire.

Have volunteered in the NYC Public Schools for 8 years and consult.

Married with two adult stepchildren and six amazing grandchildren.

Homes in Greenwich Village and Rhinebeck, New York.
Barry Kluger
After MTV, I joined the internet, ran a PR firm until 2018, moved to Scotts-
dale and hosted a few radio talk shows here in Phoenix, while writing for
Huff Post, The Forward and Gannett.

Now retired, I spend my time advancing bereavement legislation in

Congress, traveling, smoking cigars, sipping martinis, driving on the greens,
enjoying the dry heat and recycling my jokes from MTV to a new,
unsuspecting audience.

Loving life with my wife Hope and dogs, Kugel and Hamantaschen.
Rick Krim

After leaving MTV in 1994, I worked at EMI Music Publishing for 6 years
before returning to Viacom as head of music at VH1 in 2001. I stayed there
until 2014 (when there really was no more music on VH1!), had a short stint
at Republic Records, and then happily relocated to Los Angeles to run the
LA office of Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2015.

I officially escaped the corporate world in 2019 and have been out on my
own with my own business since, working on a variety of things in music,
including consulting work, a music publishing venture, documentaries, live
events, and more.
Milt Lage
After MTV I continued directing Television as a freelancer. I directed many
shows including 12 straight years of the NBA All-star Half-time show and
player introductions. I also recieved a Latin Grammy for directing Julieta
Venegas Unplugged for MTV Latino in Mexico City.

I moved from Brooklyn to New Jersey with my wife Michelle and daughter
Mary.

When I am not working my favorite thing to do is swim laps in outdoor

swimming pools.

I look forward to seeing everyone on the 1st. Happy Anniversary, everyone.

Corinne LaPook

I am a documentary producer whose first film, BEING ELMO, won a Special

Jury Prize at Sundance.

I am currently completing my latest documentary, GRANDPA WAS AN EM-

PEROR, which follows the great-granddaughter of Emperor Haile Selassie
of Ethiopia as she searches for answers about the collapse of her family’s
3000-year dynasty. Prior to producing, I ran the New York office of The
American Film Institute.

I am married with two sons, who both work in entertainment.

Leslie Leventman

In 2010, after leaving MTVN, I formed Green Apple Productions, an event

consultation company, and Leventman Associates, LLC, which specializes
in branding and strategic consultation for media companies. Being a
business owner has been a great joy these past 11 years, and has afforded
me a multitude of new creative opportunities. I have also continued my work
as a Board member of the non-profit organizations, Rock N’ Wrap it Up! and
Second Chance Toys. I currently reside in New Jersey and New York City,
and in my spare time, travel to Los Angeles to be with my extended family.

I will always have the fondest memories of the 30 years that I spent at
MTVN, where I had the most wonderful mentors, and worked with some of
the smartest, most creative and fun people on the planet! So happy to be
sharing MTV’s 40th anniversary with all of my MTV founding friends and
partners!!
Vinnie Longobardo

After leaving MTV, Vinnie went on to launch the video game channel G4 for
Comcast as SVP, Programming and Production and help launch and
operate WarnerTV Asia for Warner Brothers.

Fame, the Vice Diversity and Inclusion Council, and a small philanthropic
family foundation.

Since leaving MTV, I launched a small company called Astronauts Wanted:

worked with Nora Lum/Awkwafina and Lilly Singh, who went onto much
greater and well-deserved success than my small company realized.

Here’s to new talent and old friends.

Hard to remember what I did yesterday let alone in the past 40 years! I’ve
enjoyed a career in public relations/marketing primarily in the music side of
the world working with and mentoring terrific people. I have had the good
fortune to represent blues legends Willie Dixon, Charles Brown, Ruth
Brown and rockers Bonnie Raitt and family friend Duane Eddy having a
small hand in getting the the love and recognition they deserved.

My most cherished accomplishment is being “Ant” Joanie to a handful of

kids spoiling them and making great memories as I get ready to do the same
with their kids.

And truth be told, I am addicted to K-Dramas.

Allen Newman

I toured the world making TV shows for the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd and
Michael Jackson. I eventually settled into producing and/or directing live
concert events for the networks; about 150 TV specials in total. Then, after
way too much time on the road, about ten years ago, I took the opportunity
to work on the design, development and construction of an entertainment
venue along the boardwalk in Coney Island. The Coney Island Amphitheater
seats five thousand. It’s also a restaurant, a rooftop lounge, a parking lot and
a city park. My commute is shorter now.
Christina Norman
Making moving pictures. Taking chances. Creating the life I always wanted.
Andrew Orgel

When I left CBS in 1980, as you would have expected, I had dreams of becoming
a fashion model. For some reason, that didn’t work out. Lack and McGroarty
asked me, as a consolation, if I wanted to start up this TV programming and
distribution company with them. (I was already performing music videos in the
mirror, alone, at home, so it made sense.) We built an amazing team within 6
offices around the country, discovering incredible management talent who went
on to be the the next leaders in the industry. An amazing journey we had; one
of teamwork, mutual respect and love. Left MTV to start up A&E (Hearst, ABC,
NBC) with Nick Davatzes. Ran Sales and Marketing. Then Programming and
Production. Then ran The Box Music Network and paid far too much money
to get Les Garland out of his fake retirement. Then, wanted to find out how the
phone would play in the future of content, commerce and community.
Co-Created the first 3 digital networks with Partner and Investor, US West. Then
focused on Social Impact, Sustainability and Global Citizenship in founding QOL
(Quality of Life) Media, Inc.

Now, Chairman of Reveal Live! Entertainment, with Music, Live Performance and
Film & TV entertainment, still with a Social Impact focus.

Best achievement: Married 42 years to Nancy Orgel. Living and loving the last 27
in the San Francisco Bay Area. Son and Daughter-in-law in Las Vegas. Daughter
and Son-in-law in Los Angeles. (Pic below at the June 2021 wedding. I’m the one
wearing black.)
Nancy Paladino
So grateful to have been at MTV from the start, when we all were learning,
growing and truly breaking new ground. Those early years enriched my
life with enduring friendships and established my career as a Broadcast
Designer and Creative Director. I was courted away by Video Works, for six
years I headed up a new graphic design division. Then in 1992, I established
artichoke.tv, a digital design studio that continues today as I blissfully live
and work in Manhattan and upstate NY with my two best pups, Katie and
Sophie.

As a final note I will say I continue to this day, to be gratefully connected to

many of the amazing relationships born in those early years and honor
those, especially Claire Joseph and Peter Dougherty, who are not with us to
toast on this 40th anniversary.
Mark Pellington

Since MTV, I have been an independent filmmaker, director producer and

writer.

I direct music videos (Pearl Jam, Springsteen, Demi Lovato, U2),

movies (Arlington Road, Mothman Prophecies), network and cable TV
(Cold Case, Blindspot, Star Trek). Also documentary films , PBS poetry,
films, commercials and art pieces. I live now in LA, left NYC in 1999.

I am the proud single father to a 19 year old daughter, Bella .

Bob Pittman
Since last reunion, I’ve remained chairman and ceo of iHeartMedia—and
have added more gray hair, lost more gray matter and find myself more and
more in gray areas.
Martha Quinn

It is insanely awesome to be here with you all tonight! In 1981 I was proud to be a
part of this band of trailblazers that put MTV Music Television on the map as one
of the five original VJs alongside Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter
and the late (great and legendary) JJ Jackson.

My life has been rich and full but few posts could ever match the magnitude of
what MTV was to all of us. I often joke my epitaph could read:

MTV
MRS
MOM

These are the most precious and defining stages of my life and am eternally
grateful for each and every one. Tonight is the night to celebrate the first, the
firebrand pop-culture disruptor we all launched, our MTV!

Thank you Bob Pittman for bringing us all together for this most auspicious
anniversary! We can’t rewind we’ve gone too far, but if we could go back exactly
40 years ago this very evening you’d find us at The Loft in Fort Lee, New Jersey,
witnessing our first iconic blast-off!

Billy Squire may have said Christmas is the time, but I say tonight is the time to
look at every. single. rock star here and say... I LOVE YOU!!

Always and forever, Martha

P.S. Shout out Buzz Brindle! You know why and I never forget!
Chip Rachlin
Chip’s post-MTV career included Woodstock ‘94 & ‘99 where he did
sponsorship and radio syndication.

He founded Rachlin Entertainment during this period and has represent-

ed clients such as, The Atlantis and Cunard. At Atlantis he booked artists
like STING, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Jerry Seinfeld and
many others over his 15+ years with them. Chip also was a producer in 2001
of “An All Star Tribute to Brian Wilson” from Radio City Music Hall, with Brian
Diamond. That show featured Billy Joel, Elton John, Paul Simon and many
other great talents.

Chip is married to Wendy Rachlin and has two children, Josh and Alex, from
a previous marriage.

After leaving MTV in the late 80's, my television career continued at Quantum
Media and then at Comedy Central, where I worked for over 20 years, mainly
as Corporate Communications Director.

I am now involved in some freelance public relations projects, teach private

piano lessons, and am a keyboard/vocalist in a classic rock band - following
my MTV roots!
Carole Robinson
I left Viacom in 2015. Did pro bono communications work for the Brooklyn
Museum's Sackler Center for Feminist Art, and The Public Theatre for a year.

Have been Chief Communications Officer for BuzzFeed since 2016.

As a Distinguished soldier,
Bill Roedy
he was selected as a ‘Distin-
guished Graduate of West Point
2020’, global media pioneer,
freedom champion and global
health leader, Bill Roedy “might
be the most interesting man
in the world,” says Mike Fries,
CEO & Vice Chairman of Liberty
Global: “He’s somebody who
commanded nuclear silos in
the Cold War, was friends with
Mandela, and he’s partied with
Bono.” Upon graduation, Roedy was
commissioned as 2ndLieutenant
and volunteered for duty in Vietnam,
earning the Bronze Star, Air medal,
and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.
He then commanded nuclear missiles as part of NATO and awarded the Meritorious
Service Medal.

Graduating from Harvard with an MBA in 1979, Bill joined HBO in the nascent days of
cable television. Ten years later, he led a relentless expansion of MTVN Europe with a
unique model of respecting and reflecting local audience diversity, including behind the
Iron Curtain, bringing a ground-breaking window to the West.
In 2004 Roedy was promoted to Chairman & CEO of MTVNI, where he and his team
built a global operation (200-plus channels, 200-plus countries, 30-plus languages, for
two billion-plus people) and pioneered the concept of global corporate responsibility.
Under Roedy’s leadership MTVNI became the world leader in fighting HIV/AIDS with its
“Staying Alive” campaign and Chaired the Global Business Coalition. His far-reaching
Global Health roles have included the first Ambassador for UNAIDS, Chairman of the
American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) and Vice Chairman for the Glob-
al Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI), saving millions of children’s lives.
Bill’s numerous awards include UN Global Citizen, Emmy Founders Award, Cable TV
Pioneer and induction into the Cable Hall of Fame and advises the State Department
Regarding Roedy’s work in the global health arena, Jeb Bush, 43rd Governor of Florida,
says, “Bill is without a doubt a distinguished citizen of our world.” And Dr. David Brown
MD, President of the Class of 1970, says of Roedy, “He is an ideal representation of our
class and class motto: ‘Serve with Integrity’.”

I am living in Manhattan with my wife, Lisa Roumell. We have two daughters:
Rebecca, 27, who has just graduated from law school and will start work at
a law firm in New York City this fall; and Ali, 23, who works at a film
production company in the city, and hopes to attend film school next year.
We also just got a new “pandemic” puppy, Wally the Yellow Lab, who is both
a joy and a handful.

I am working on a couple of startups, and spending lots of time with three

not-for-profit boards—Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Public Theater and
Kenyon College. During the quarantine I picked up jazz clarinet, but it’s
going just OK.

Left MTV Networks in 95 and then spent 20 years at Scholastic

Entertainment as the head of Global Marketing & Consumer Products.

Living in Westbrook Ct with my partner Michael and our two rescue dogs.
Still have a condo at The Sheffield on 57th street/NYC. Grateful to have the
best of both worlds- the city & the country.

Still playing tennis & now Pickleball. And still doing a lot of volunteer work.
What a long great trip it’s been!

In the years since MTV, I climbed through piles of commercials, music
videos, industrials, documentaries, sizzle reels, Playboy Playmates and who
knows what else, in pursuit of a career in feature films, which I
ultimately achieved to some degree.

More importantly, I raised a daughter (now 20). Although this involved

leaving NY for LA, she is my greatest love and proudest achievement.

I have two cats, and now that I’m old, I’m starting to consider where to move
to before the start of the Water Wars or inevitable Robot Apocalpyse.

After being jettisoned from MTV, I took a lap around the record business
with roles as GM of Warner Bros. Records, and as president/CEO of a few
Universal Music Group companies, including a start up with Doug Morris
and Jimmy Iovine called Farmclub.com, a pioneering pre-Spotify music
subscription service called Pressplay, and a music television channel called
International Music Feed (IMF).

I came back to Viacom HQ to work with John Sykes at Infinity Radio, then
headed up all things digital for Ticketmaster and Live Nation for Irving Azoff,
after which I launched yet another music television channel with Sean
“Diddy” Combs called REVOLT TV.

Recently, I built and sold a podcasting discovery and curation start up, went
along with the sale to Loop Media Inc., and brought in MTV alums Greg
Drebin and Darcy Fulmer to make music channels and other programming
for out of home, mobile and connected TV’s at Loop.

Beyond not being able to say no to making music channels, I live in LA with
my wife Amanda and two daughters Layla and Willa.
Fred Seibert
My first day at the company was May 5, 1980. Alan Goodman and I left on April
8, 1983 and started Fred/Alan. Bob hired us as consultants for MTV,
Nickelodeon, Nick-at-Nite, VH1, HA!, and Comedy Central and we hung around
until the beginning of 1992, with other cable clients and a root beer company
here and there.
I started working for Turner Broadcasting in June '92 running the
Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Studio for them until Ted sold out to Time
Warner. Tom Freston, Judy McGrath, and Herb Scannell brought me back in
the fold to consult for MTVN and make cartoons for Nickelodeon.

They made a mistake and asked me to run the internet business in 1999 but by
then I'd become a horrible employee (I'd been working for myself for too long)
which only lasted a year. But, as I continued to produce cartoons for Nick I'd
become infected with "new media" all over again and while I continued to con-
sult with MTVN for another 10 years I started up a sideline internet video thing
and started the first streaming programming company with four co-founders,
including Mr. Scannell. Sold it to Google/YouTube, teamed up with the Tumblr
founder, founded and folded a video tech start up and continued to make car-
toons, now with Cartoon Network, Amazon, YouTube and Netflix.
Harriet “Howie” Seitler

…left MTV in 1993 and went to ESPN to launch ESPN2, the original sport
center campaign and the XGames. Was hired in 1995 as head of creative
services for the Oprah Show, which evolved, over a 25 year run, into CMO
for Oprah and ventures including stints as GM of Oprah.com, head of de-
velopment (dr oz show, The Big Give, Oprah’s a Oscar specials,
Christmas Kindnes special).

Built podcasting (supersoul and MasterClass), ecoursework (Oprah/

Deepak Chopra meditation subscription series) live events and the OWN
network.
Joined MTV/WASEC in 1979 and left

John Shaker
in 1991 after 11 amazing years.
Following MTV, I had a long stint
working at BMI/Broadcast
Music, running Licensing and U.S.
sales, marketing and revenue. One
highlight was signing the first ever
commercial music license on the then
nascent internet in 1995.
Interestingly, I signed it with Adam
Curry, former MTV VJ, and his
company On Ramp.

Like others, I tried hard at BMI to build

the same wonderful team
culture that was similarly “on a
mission” with that special MTV kind of
camaraderie. It was good, but it can’t be replicated.

Ran my own media and music consulting firm and worked with AT&T
Interactive, The Box, USA Networks, Discovery Networks, Comedy
Central, ASCAP, MediaNet, in addition with many early/mid-stage
companies where I often acted as a board member or advisor. Industry
Boards included IRTS, AWRT/American Women in Radio & TV, Radio
Mercury Creative Awards. Volunteer for a couple local Stamford Charites
and Youth Hockey Coach.

One of my true passions, over the last 20 years, has been playing on a
senior men’s hockey team called the Connecticut Olde Crabs competing
in 6- 8 tournaments annually in Nashville, Tampa, Washington DC, Dan-
bury, Syracuse, and at Charles Shultz’s Snoopy Tournament in Sant Rosa,
CA. Most proud of my two adult children - a son 30 who works in cloud
sales & marketing for Adobe in SF and daughter 27 in marketing for the
Seattle Sounder’s MLS Soccer team.

It’s great to reconnect with everyone! I’ve worked behind the scenes as a
Content Creator and Talent Producer my entire career. I began my professional
career at MTV in 1981 as one of its early interns (Talent Relations under Gale
Sparrow, who gave me a shot) and was hired as a programming assistant. I
proudly returned to MTV in 1995 and was tasked with co-creating and launching
the MTV/WWI joint venture, the MTV Radio Networks, in 3 formats. Along the
way, I’ve produced programming and booked talent for over 2500
celebrity and musical artists for concerts/events, TV, radio, and digital.

Another little start-up I was involved with was SiriusXM, where I was the founding
VP of Talent & Industry Affairs/Programming and the 1st female VP in satellite
radio.

I’ve also had a blast working with Dick Clark, United Stations, Westwood One,
NJ/NYC promoter John Scher, SiTV, NBC, The Smithereens, and my own Sivak
Entertainment. Current passion: Celebrity Good Works, a multi-media platform
that features charities and the celebrities (musicians, actors, and athletes) who
support them. My opportunity to give back. Fun fact: I still have my WASEC
employee ID card!
In September I’ll be one of the

Sue Steinberg
Executive Producers of a
feature film to be shot in LA. I’m
very excited about it. It’s a remake
of the 70’s film “Cornbread, Earl
and Me”. We’re casting right now!

In addition, I’ll be producing a

history of Hip Hop culture titled “Hip
Hop A Cultural Odyssey”. It’s based
on a collector’s edition of a book by
the same name.

And I’m working with Music Is Unity

(Philip Baily’s foundation) to raise
money and awareness for aged-out
foster children (kids 18 and
older). We’re having a virtual event
in December. Philip and his
daughter Trinity and all of the
people involved have put their heart
and soul into the event and are collaborating seamlessly. As ‘music people’ you’ll
recognize Philip’s name as the lead singer of Earth Wind and Fire.

As many of you know, I’ve been fostering children. My two boys are now grown
(22 and 20) and now I have their little sister who is 3.5. She is smart, talented and
gorgeous…not necessarily in that order.

Beyond that I manage to travel quite a bit when we’re not beset by a pandemic.
It gives me great joy to experience other cultures in every way as well as other
scenic beauty. I also love learning more about history!

And then there is the love of my life…my pup Benny. Still with me and as
energetic, adorable and sweet as ever.

Oh, one last thing…I’m very blond now. No idea how that happened! I hope you’ll
recognize me and say hello!

It’s been 40 years between my first job at MTV and my last job as Assistant
Head of an independent school, which I just retired from this July.

The in-between has been full of surprises and opportunities. I produced a

television show on Bravo with LA Times film critic Charles Champlin and
I wrote two young adult nonfiction books: The Greatness of Girls and The
Boldness of Boys.

My husband, Bob Pohl, and I have two engaging daughters who live in
Brooklyn and Long Beach. Since NY, we have lived in LA, Santa Barbara,
and now in Dayton, Ohio.
Mayo Stuntz
I can’t believe it’s been 40 years since I started work at MTV, sitting on the
end of a couch in Bob’s office! The next years were among the highlights of
my career. The friends I made there have stayed with me for decades, both
personally and professionally. I am so grateful to have had that experience
early in my career. My professional bio follows, but the groundwork for it all
started at 1133 Avenue of the Americas!

Mayo Stuntz, Jr., is an an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners,

and a Founding Member of Pilot Group LLC, a private investment firm.

He has also held many executive and C-suite positions for Fortune 500 and
other corporations, including MTV Networks, AOL, Time Warner,
CompuServe, and even Six Flags Theme Parks, Century 21 Real Estate, and
Quantum Media. He is an accomplished pilot, and also served as Chair of
New York Public Radio, which operates WNYC and WQXR, and
produces the RadioLab and On The Media podcasts.

He is a graduate of Cornell University and Harvard Business School.

Mayo has three adult children and lives with his wife Liz in New York.

After the sale of MTVN to Viacom in 1986 I took the “thousands” of dollars in
equity awarded to the cofounders and ventured into the entertainment
business, only to be drawn back to Viacom in 1994, where I served as
President of VH1 and CMT through 2002; and then as CEO of Infinity
Broadcasting.

I reunited with Bob Pittman in 2010 as part of a turnaround of Clear Channel

Radio (now iHeartMedia) where I serve as President, Entertainment
Enterprises. I continue to secure signed Sting guitars for Bob’s relatives and
also serve as Chairman of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.

I have three grown children, Jack, Kate and Julie and live between New York
and Los Angeles.

It was 1981. Cable was hot, print was not. Leaving my job selling space for
Redbook Magazine to join a start-up called MTV was an easy decision. Be-
sides, Larry Divney would be my boss and who could turn him down? MTV
was a career moonshot for me and one that would be hard to ever top.

I tried a marketing job at CBS, ran media services for Orion Pictures. Both
good, but not MTV great. By the mid-90’s I went out on my own and built a
successful executive search business.

Now in my seventh decade not-for-profit board work, toggling between

homes in New York City, Bucks County PA. and Palm Springs, my husband
Frank and our Irish Setter Reggie occupy much of my time.

After MTV I spent many years at Comedy Central, Big Fish Marketing,
Fuse and Bright House. The last five years I have spent traveling and
running our farm and garden center at the Jersey Shore with my
husband Ron - come visit us at: The Herbary at Bear Creek Farm.
