ABOUT CLIFTONS ART PRIZE


In keeping with its focus on the importance and impact of surrounding environments,
Cliftons has a strong commitment to the visual arts and aims at supporting emerging artists.

Finalists will have their works displayed for public viewing at Cliftons’ training venues.
State and Regional Prizes will be awarded at presentation evenings between May – July
2011. The International Grand Prize, as judged from amongst the finalists, will be
announced in mid-July 2011.

International Grand Prize Winner, along with State and Regional finalists will have their
works of art featured on Cliftons’ website.

PRIZE POOL
International Cliftons Prize Winner will be awarded a Total Prize Pool of $10,000. State and
Regional Winners will automatically be shortlisted for the coveted Cliftons International Prize.

State Winners will be awarded $2,000 for winning entries from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane,
Canberra, Adelaide and Perth.

Regional Winners will be awarded $2,000 for winning entries from New Zealand – Auckland
and Wellington, Hong Kong and Singapore.

ACQUISITION OF ART
The artworks of the International, State and Regional Winners will be acquired by Cliftons
for display and will form part of the permanent Cliftons Art Collection.

Finalists’ paintings are available for private or corporate acquisition.

HOW TO ENTER
• Artists can enter one or more works of art, with a maximum of 3 entries.
• Entries must be received 27 April 2011. Entries received after this date will not be
eligible for judging.
• All artists must submit a completed online entry form and an image of the artwork
via www.cliftons.com/cliftons-art-award.

DIARY DATES
27 April: Submission closes. Entries must be submitted on the Cliftons Website
by 5pm Australian Eastern Standard Time, 5pm Western Standard Time,
5pm New Zealand Standard Time, 5pm Hong Kong Standard Time
and 5pm Singapore Standard Time.

2 – 11 May: Judging in Progress.

12 May: Finalists will be shortlisted from each State or Region, and contacted
by Cliftons via email. Finalists’ names will be published on the
Cliftons website.
