Preface
Fund Management plays a significant role in the organization as the blood plays its role in the human body .It not only provides
energy to the business but simultaneously it is essential for the success of any business organization. Fund Management has close
implication with the two important factor’s that judge the overall success of the business profitability and solvency.
Now–a-days, the major problem faced by every business organization is of finance because of drastic changes in the size and scale of
business and increased competition, which results in the increase in credit business and shortage of financial brackets. In such an
environment, The Fund Management has occupied one of the key positions in the business management.

In our study, our main objective is to reflect our attention on the position of Fund Management in DSCL Ltd. and discuss various
aspects of Fund Management in the company. The DSCL Ltd. is leading company in the field of fertilizer, Cement, PVC resigns &
caustic soda. Our study discusses various aspects of the Fund Management and effects there of on ultimate performance of the
company.

It gives me great pleasure to acknowledge my indebtness to all those who have helped me completing this project and bringing it out
in its present form. I am very grateful to my supervisor under whose kind supervision and able guidance, this work has completed.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In my summer internship, I did project in accounts and finance stream with DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd. At its manufacturing
plant in Kota (Rajasthan). This plant has two units of DSCL named as Shriram Fertilizers and Chemicals and Shriram Cement Works.
There is production of cement, fertilizer, chemical, calcium carbide, chlor alkali, power, PVC material. DSCL is famous as DCM in
Kota and serve society in terms of large employer and social citizen.
 During my internship, I worked on Fund Management project in the organization. In my project I analysed the Modes of
Payment and Cheque Return Analysis of company by using the data of three consecutive years (F.Y 2007-08 to 2009-10) for Modes
of Payments, and three consecutive months(APRIL2010 to JUNE 2010) for Cheque Return Analysis, to achieve the objective of the
project.

I started the project by dividing it into steps to achieve the defined objective. These steps helped me to complete my project on time.

The objective of my project can be summarized as below:-

1. Comparison between Modes of Payment.

2. Find out the Importance of E- Payment.
3. Find out the Reason of The Cheque Return.
4. Find out the Major Customers involved in Cheque Return.
5. In which Area Cheque Return amount is higher..
6. Find out the Solution to Minimize the Cheque Return.
7. Introduction of BRS (Bank Reconciliation Statement) and Cash Flow Statement.

In my project, I collected data and information through various internal and external sources like Modes of Payment from the
company’s SAP System, discussion with staff and colleagues. I used information technology tools like MS-Excel to do my work
easily with faster efficiency. I made my own plan about research methodology. There were many problems occurred during the project
regarding the resources which helped me to experience such situations about the organization work culture. I was also bounded with
certain terms and conditions of the company which defined boundaries for me to work in restricted environment which also afssfected
me sometimes.
