Peace is a wish that every man dream of from the oldest

to the smallest even children dream of.

Peace is something that starts from you if you cared
about people and had the power to forgive you get it.
No matters how hard for you, try to get the clues to
achieve your own peace.
Life is full of pros and cons; however, peace will stay
because peace is something in your mind.
Peace is to be surrounded by people who care for you
and you care for them.
Peace doesn’t involve hatred nor dislike, no
discrimination between two people, because we are all
brothers from one father and mother.
A war is a most infamous way to interrupt peace.
People who couldn’t achieve peace inside themselves
cause wars.
Poor them, they are alone as they cared for none we
should treat them and make them achieve peace inside
their minds.
Peace can’t be achieved by simple killing those who
interrupt as by killing them you turn to be one of them.
That’s why peace forms a circle that starts from you and
end by the whole world

An Anecdote
There once was a king who offered a prize to the artist who
would paint the best picture of peace. Many
artists tried. The king looked at all the
pictures. But there were only two he really
liked, and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake. The lake

was a perfect mirror for peaceful towering
mountains all around it. Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy
white clouds. All who saw this picture thought that it was a
perfect picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains, too. However, these were

rugged and bare. Above was an angry sky, from which rain fell
and in which lightning played. Down the side of the mountain
tumbled a foaming waterfall. This did not look peaceful at all.

But when the king looked closely, he saw

behind the waterfall a tiny bush growing in
a crack in the rock. In the bush, a mother
bird had built her nest. There, in the midst of
the rush of angry water, sat the mother bird on her nest - in
perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize? The king chose the
second picture. Do you know why?

"Because," explained the king, "peace does not mean to be in a

place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. Peace
means to be in the midst of all those things and still be calm in
your heart. That is the real meaning of peace."

True stories
We all know many amazing people throughout the history who
fought and devoted their lives to spread peace locally or
internationally. People we all are proud of today like:.
Mohammed Anwar Al-Sadat:
His early life and time of death:

Mohammed Anwar Al-Sadat also known as the

peacemaker hero was born on December 25th 1918 in Mit
Ab al-Kawm, Al-Minfiyyah governorate.

He graduated from the royal military Academy in Cairo .he

joined an officer’s group commited to free Egypt from the
British control .he was arrested and imprisoned twice
during World War II for cooperating with the Germans
against British forces between 1942 and 1948.
He became a close assistant of Gamal Abdel Nasser and after the revolution of
1952 he became vice president of the republic.

He was elected to be the president in 1970 after Nasser's death. He was killed in a
military parade on October 6, 1981, in Cairo.

His efforts and achievements in spreading peace:

He established a new policy which was independent from Gamal’s.He was the
main designer of the war of 1973 against Israel and led the Egyptian army to
victory.

He then achieved peace with Israel and began to work on peace towards the
Middle East. He made a historical visit to Jerusalem to place his plan for a peace
settlement before the Israeli parliament. This initiated a series of diplomatic efforts
that Sadat continued despite strong opposition from most of the Arab world and the
Soviet Union.

U.S. Pres. Jimmy Carter started the negotiations between Sadat and Begin that
resulted in the Camp David Accords (Sept. 17, 1978), a beginning peace agreement
between Egypt and Israel.

Sadat and Begin were awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1978, and their
continued political negotiations resulted in the signing on March 26, 1979, of a
treaty of peace between Egypt and Israel. From then Sadat became known as the
war and peace man.

An Interview
Q: What is the true meaning of peace?
A: Peace in its true sense is the natural outcome of mental stability
based on quality and positive perspective of life’s challenges, situations
and circumstances. This implies peace is a state of mind tranquility
amidst external challenges based on correct understanding. This
definition is different from the previous definition in that it attacks the
“tree from the roots” it approaches the peace issue from a reactive
dimension to pro-active one. A major war can be solved still as a
grievance. Hostility can be arrested still as intentions in the human mind.
Most times, grievances and plans towards hostilities are allowed until
they escalate into major warfare before peace efforts are made.

Q: How can I achieve internal peace?

A: Instead of simply coping with anxiety and relationship conflict in the
midst of turmoil, you can actually reconnect to your happiness within in
the midst of it! These surprisingly simple, inspiring and practical
strategies will help you in finding inner peace no matter what else is
going on.

Q: How can I spread peace across my environment?

A: We need to work together to nurture the soul of each individual and
spread the message of peace, understanding, and love. The world cannot
exist without these. We should cherish each other and help regenerate
the world with care and kindness instead of war and destruction. Albert
Pine said it beautifully: "What we do for ourselves dies with us. What
we do for others and the world remains and is immortal."

Poems
By Adults:
Peace
My Soul, there is a country
Afar beyond the stars,
Where stands a winged sentry
All skillful in the wars;
There, above noise and danger
Sweet Peace sits, crown'd with smiles,
And One born in a manger
Commands the beauteous files.
He is thy gracious friend
And (O my Soul awake!)
Did in pure love descend,
To die here for thy sake.
If thou canst get but thither,
There grows the flow'r of peace,
The rose that cannot wither,
Thy fortress, and thy ease.
Leave then thy foolish ranges,
For none can thee secure,
But One, who never changes,
Thy God, thy life, thy cure.

by Henry Vaughan
In Salutation to the Eternal Peace

Men say the world is full of fear and hate,

And all life's ripening harvest-fields await
The restless sickle of relentless fate.

But I, sweet Soul, rejoice that I was born,

When from the climbing terraces of corn
I watch the golden orioles of Thy morn.

What care I for the world's desire and pride,

Who know the silver wings that gleam and glide,
The homing pigeons of Thine eventide?

What care I for the world's loud weariness,

Who dream in twilight granaries Thou dost bless
With delicate sheaves of mellow silences?

Say, shall I heed dull presages of doom,

Or dread the rumoured loneliness and gloom,
The mute and mythic terror of the tomb?

For my glad heart is drunk and drenched with Thee,

O inmost wind of living ecstasy!
O intimate essence of eternity!
by Sarojini Naidu
Peace

Now, God be thanked Who has matched us with His hour,

And caught our youth, and wakened us from sleeping,
With hand made sure, clear eye, and sharpened power,
To turn, as swimmers into cleanness leaping,
Glad from a world grown old and cold and weary,
Leave the sick hearts that honour could not move,
And half-men, and their dirty songs and dreary,
And all the little emptiness of love!

Oh! we, who have known shame, we have found release there,
Where there's no ill, no grief, but sleep has mending,
Naught broken save this body, lost but breath;
Nothing to shake the laughing heart's long peace there
But only agony, and that has ending;
And the worst friend and enemy is but Death.

PEACE
Do you remember
The First World War
Or the Second World War?
How many people died?
But why? I ask why?

Let's don’t make that error again!

Let's care for the world!
Peace in the world
We cannot live without it!

Do you see the golden key?

Its name is PEACE, yes, it is!

William E. DeLuca 3rd Graders…

Peace is like
Love in the world.
Peace is quiet
And nice.
Peace is loving and caring with all your might
Helping and sharing is peace.
Peace is like a flag waving
Never flying away and never stopping.
Peace is motions of love
Peace is a beautiful flying dove.
Peace is a dove flying
Sending love and care through the air.
Peace is a scene of love, just like a humming bug
Peace is with a bumble buzz that just flew down from far above.
Peace is like a piercing light of a dove
In front of the big ball of happiness called the sun.
Peace will always mean love
When I’m sad it lets me feel the worlds above.
Peace is free, peace is quiet
Peace is always around.
Peace is like love
It never breaks.
Peace is a thing that is loving, caring
And a lot of hugs and kisses.

Peace is like a bird

Always coming and going to help in a nice way.
Peace is when we help each other
Peace looks like art.
Peace is like love in the sky.
Peace is caring and joy.
Peace is Freedom in the world.
Peace looks like a soaring rainbow
That falls in your hand.
Peace is no fighting, no war,
Of course, love and signs of it just like an invincible dove.
Peace is like a dove flying,
Peace is like a happy family

Searingtown School 5th Graders…

Peace is like glass

It is too delicate.
Peace looks like a great eagle flying overhead
In the great mountains of America.
Peace is like a cold waterfall
Rushing down the cold rocks.
Peace is the waves of the ocean,
Washing onto the shore.
Peace is like smiles filling the sky,
A rainbow spreading over the hills.
Peace birds flying around the blue sky
Watch a circling hawk.
Peace is rushing water, rushing over rocks
A piano playing, a soft fire making circles in the sky.
Peace is like
A perfect forest.
Peace is a dove soaring through
A cloudless sky.
Peace sounds like a wave
Crashing in the summer sea.
Peace is the quiet
Wind in my hair.
Peace is love, peace is caring
Peace is the sun gleaming in my hair.
Peace is loving, peace is caring
Peace is not hating, hitting, or killing.
Peace is like a fountain
Bearing water.
Loving, caring, and also kind
Different peaceful things running through my mind.
Peace is quiet
Peace is lonely.
Peace will always be in a bird’s eye view
And always in our hearts.
Peace is when no one fights, when no one cries
When days don’t bite.
Soaring high and drooping low
Peace has it’s ups and downs.
Caring and loving
Peace is what we will always have.
Peace is like silk,
Sliding into everyone’s life.
Peace is a dove, peace is quiet
Like a rainbow, like love.
Preslav Plamenov, 9 year

I have a dream:
For all people happy in the world,
We must say ‘Stop’ to war.
No more wars in this world!

No more tears on children’s cheeks.

I don’t want to see pain
And sadness in their eyes any more.

Without peace the birds will not sing,

There will be pain in our hearts.
I want peace in the world.

By Eman Salah
People who care for their own delights
As if they are alone
As if they are known
They think themselves clever
But they know they not
Peace is a dream
Achieved by us
To be selfish
To be nothing
Is to be alone
No peace is there
No peace obtained
Think of others
Think of dead
You are a point in the holy garden Earth
You shall die
Thinking no one cares
Cause you cared for none
When they needed you care
But the truth shall arise
When you think your dead
We form one body
Cause we all care
We care for you
We care for everyone
Peace is when you care
So it is a dream
Achieved by us
To get our own delights
To have peace
To have happiness
To care
To get it
Peace is a dream
Not for you and not for me
Peace is a dream
For all us to dream
