Carol Stock Kranowitz, M.A., is the author of The Out-of-Sync Child
and several other well-known books. Kranowitz
has been a preschool teacher for over twenty-
five years and pioneered an innovative program
to screen children for Sensory Integration Dys-
function, along with Lynn A. Blazer-Martin, PhD. OTE, a leading au-
thority on Sensory Integration Disorder. Kranowitz’ books are full of
practical ideas and suggestions for helping children with autism
and related disorders to process the many sights, sounds, smells,
tastes, and touch sensations coming out in a more comfortable
way, so that they can navigate the world successfully.
