0 REFLECTION

In this semester, I had learnt mathematics more deeply. Now, I have a

better understanding on what mathematics is exactly all about. For me,
mathematics is not only a subject that we have to learn in school but it is also
closely related to our real life like in business, engineering, economic and
others fields. From this learning, it makes me feel interested to find new things
in mathematics and finding my answer for my entire question that I always
thought when I was in school. Before this, I only thought that mathematics is a
subject that has to find an answer by only using a formula but now I realized
that I was totally wrong. There are many methods that we can use to solve
some mathematics problems.

This coursework given me the first impression about what I’m going to
learn about this topic. I never think that what I was learning now can give
many benefits to me as future mathematics teacher. This is because I thought
that teaching mathematics is very easy and simple work to do like teaches
them how to find 1 + 1 and so on. But here, I learnt how mathematics
becomes an important part in our education which will teaches us to think
logically in solving problems. In other words, mathematics is a way of thinking
to expand our reasoning so that the conclusions can be drawn from events
happened on earth and in the universe.

In fact, throughout this coursework I explore deeper on mathematics

curriculum in Malaysia and other countries. They are created through
observing pattern and appearances of things in their surroundings and the
universe. In addition, that projects had also created mathematics curriculum
that can help to modify complex problem into simplified for facilitate the users
to relate their understanding and the process of thinking.

Taking other countries’ mathematics curriculum, I learn the best way to

teach students in various ways. At the same time, I can also develop their
creative thinking. Therefore, students especially who are weak in mathematics

will be more confident to solve the problem. I hope that I can do some
improvement in school especially in mathematics and increasing the pupil’s
interest to love mathematics through reading, learning, thinking, discussion
and creative writing.

In the nutshell, mathematics curriculum can be defined in various ways.

After studying this topic and made some research, it was very interesting and
I am enjoyable in learning about it although there are a few things that is
difficult for me to understand. Through this topic, I learn the technique to
approach students as different individual has different level of IQ. Hopefully, I
will use it in my real life and not just learning without apply it. In the future, I
will apply it in my learning especially in mathematics subject and also use all
the knowledge that I got when I am teaching in the school.
