READING THE ANNOUNCEMENT IS MANDITORY FOR THE COURSE and you will be
expected to read it. All important reminders will be posted in the announcement
and I will assume that it has been read when I post assignments or make
adjustments in the course schedule among other things. The announcement may
change it more than once a week, so make sure you read it every time you log on
the course.
Graded Work:
All graded work will include problems which require showing the steps
you used to attain the solution. Unless I specifically say so, all steps
needed to solve a problem must be shown to receive credit. In almost
every case, writing down the answer to a problem from the back of the
text without sufficient work will result in you receiving no credit for the
problem. You are encouraged to collaborate with others in the class on
all assignments, however, unless I allow it, you must submit your own
work. Failure to do so is considered cheating and will result in a score of
0 for the assignment and other penalties.
It is the policy of this class that extra credit not be offered. Therefore,
all requests for extra credit will be turned down.
HOMEWORK: Homework will consist of problems from the text and will assigned
every week new material is covered. These problems will form the basis of all
testing and several of them will be collected and graded. c
CASE STUDY: One case study from the textbook will be assigned this quarter which
is to be a group project. The write up must be complete and professional looking. c
MIDTERM AND FINAL EXAMS: The midterm will be posted week 6 and the final
exam week 11. The midterm will cover the material from the first half of the
quarter and the final the rest of the course. You will have approximately 6 days to
complete each of them.c
