RESIBLOC® - The advanced transformer concept
Vacuum circuit breaker proven
Linear distribution of
impulse voltages During opening of the contacts (switching off) there will be electrical breakdowns
Vacuum free winding between the poles of the breaker, since the clearance between the poles is not
production
yet enough to withstand the full voltage
Unique mechanical
strength
Vacuum circuit
During closing of the contacts (switching on) there will be electrical breakdowns
breaker proven between the poles of the breaker, because with reduced clearance the electrical
strength at constant voltage decreases
These electrical breakdowns are called “pre-strikes” in case of switching on and
“re-strikes” in case of switching off
The voltage change during pre-strikes and re-strikes can be very steep. This can
lead to high dielectric stresses within the windings of a transformer
