MINISTRY UPDATE
Please forgive me that it has been
quite a while since I have given an
update on the ministry here in
Santo Domingo; I’ll do my best to
pack in all the eye-opening events
that have occurred recently. First
of all, we have successfully
launched our student-led servant
teams, and Dominican Students
are fully running the ministry all
on their own! Believe it or not, but
for some ministries it has taken
several years to get to this point;
truly God is moving mightily on
this campus. Secondly, we have
launched both discipleship for our
student-leaders and follow-up
groups for those either new to the
movement or in their walk with
Jesus. Although there is just so
much to praise God for, this
semester have served to be the
hardest and busiest work season
we have endured yet. Being only a
team of four missionaries on a
campus of 171,000 students, we
have definitely had our work cut
out for us. However, this mid-
March we received 60 students
from the U.S.A. to help us out
during their Spring Break! We
saw 30 students make decisions
for Jesus and have several students
asking to be contacted about
joining the ministry! As a result,
we are currently busy calling and
setting up appointments to do
follow-up, as well as personally
inviting new students to come to
our weekly meetings. I never
imagined how busy I would be or
how tough this job would get, but
it’s so rewarding, that I’ve
officially decided to come back for
1 more year.

Haaave you met...
Brittany Deemer! Although she is
not a Dominican student, I feel it’s
appropriate to introduce her since
she is one of my greatest helpers
in my ministry here at UASD.
Whether she realizes it or not, she
has been the #1 person that has
been here for me, even though
physically she cannot. Her care,
encouragement, & prayer are gifts
from God, which have aided me
immensely! She is also my
girlfriend, & this April 6 we’ll
have 1 year as a couple.
