Luke 21:1-4

As he looked up. Jesus saw the rich putting their gift into the temple treasury.

He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. I tell you the
truth, he said this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these
people gave their gifts out of their wealth, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.

Matthew 6:25-34 (NKJV Bible Verse)

Jesus tells us Do Not Worry “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will
eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food
and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly
Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they
neither toil nor spin;

and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the
oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall
we wear?’

For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all
these things.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to
you.

Matthew 6:9

This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

The Lords Prayer

Luke 11: 1-4

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him,

"Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."

He said to them, "When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give
us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against
us. And lead us not into temptation.

John 17

The Lord's Prayer for Himself

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed, Father, the time has come. Glorify
your Son, that your Son may glorify you.

For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have
given him.

Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you
have sent.

I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world
began.

John 17 continued

The Lord's Prayer for His Disciples

I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave
them to me and they have obeyed your word.

Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.

For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I
came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are
yours.

All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.

I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy
Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be
one as we are one.

The Lords Prayer

While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has
been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may
have the full measure of my joy within them.

I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any
more than I am of the world.

My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

Prayers of Jesus
John 17 continued

The Lord's Prayer for All Believers

My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their
message,

that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us
so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one

I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you
sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory
you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you
have sent me.

I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you
have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."

Hebrews 5: 7-9

During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and
tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent
submission.

became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.

Mustard Seed and the

Mathew 13: 31-34

He told them another

parable: The kingdom of
heaven is like a mustard

Bible Parables of Jesus

The Parable of the Hidden

Treasure and the Pearl

Mathew 13: 44-46

The kingdom of heaven is

like treasure hidden in a
field. When a man found
it, he hid it again, and then
in his joy went and sold all
he had and bought that
field.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls.

When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Bible Parables of Jesus

The Parable of the Weeds

Mathew 13:24-29

Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is

like a man who sowed good seed in his field.

But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and

sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.

When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. The owner's servants
came to him and said, Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds
come from?

An enemy did this, he replied. The servants asked him, Do you want us to go and pull them up?'

No, he answered, because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with
them.

Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the
weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.

Parables of Jesus

The Bible Parable the weeds explained

Mathew 13: 36

Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, Explain to us
the parable of the weeds in the field. He answered, The one who sowed the good seed is the Son
of Man.
The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the
sons of the evil one,

and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters
are angels.

As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.

The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that
causes sin and all who do evil.

They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let
him hear.

Bible Parables of Jesus

The Parable of the Net

Once again, the kingdom of

heaven is like a net that was let
down into the lake and caught all
kinds of fish.

When it was full, the fishermen

pulled it up on the shore. Then
they sat down and collected the
good fish in baskets, but threw the
bad away.

This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from
the righteous

and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Best Bible Verses of Forgiveness

Luke 7:36

is a great example of a forgiveness scripture that shows the wonderful peace found in
forgiveness.

Now one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, so he went to the Pharisee's
house and reclined at the table.

When a woman who had lived a sinful life in that town learned that Jesus was eating at the
Pharisee's house, she brought an alabaster jar of perfume,

and as she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then
she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them. When the Pharisee who
had invited him saw this, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would know who is
touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner."

Jesus answered him, Simon, I have something to tell you. Tell me, teacher," he said.

Two men owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the
other fifty.

Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he canceled the debts of both. Now which of
them will love him more?

Simon replied, I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled. You have judged correctly,
Jesus said.

Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, Do you see this woman? I came into your
house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped
them with her hair.

You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my
feet.
You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet.

Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has
been forgiven little loves little."

Then Jesus said to her, Your sins are forgiven.

The other guests began to say among themselves, Who is this who even forgives sins?

Jesus said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.
