Information concerning the assignment

Assignment

The assignment is 50% value of the total mark, the other 50% is the examination (two hours- closed
book).

• Assignment- is a student’s written report on a given topic

Discuss what is brand and its importance as a powerful marketing tool. What are the
advantages of a brand to the producer and the consumer?? Give examples to illustrate your
evaluation.

This report must be completed by every student individually. The word processed report must be in
business format of 1500 words excluding figures, tables, charts, appendices, etc. To be submitted by
26/03/2010. The editorial requirements Arial 12, spaces 1.5.

You are required to submit an electronic version via CD ( using Microsoft word) together with your hard
copy. Your electronic version may be checked using plagiarism detection software.

It essential for students to prepare this project professionally in a bound form. The project should contain
a front page with the project’s title, and surname, name of the author and student ID. It should also
include the topic, full references and bibliography. The pages of the project should be numbered. If the
document is prepared below a professional standard it will be marked lower.
Aims and Objectives:

This coursework assignment is designed to:

• Develop your skills in critically evaluating relevant academic literature.

• Develop your ability in the application of relevant theories and concepts to marketing practice.

• Develop your ability to articulate a coherent argument based on a synthesis of knowledge.

• Develop your written presentation skills.

The report will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
