Hello Acanac Users; Customers this is a how to document on “How to Bridge the

DSL600EU Router/Modem;

You can access your modem by plugging the modem directly to your computer. Open a
web browser and in the address bar type 192.168.1.1 and press enter.

Following figure 1a please enter admin for the username and admin for the password
then click on “Login in” button to go to the next step.

After logging in, you will be met with the Quick Start page. We need to click on the
Setup button at the top of the page, then click on Connection 0 from the left side of the
page.

Step 3: Setup>New Connection

After clicking on Connection 0, you will see the PPPoE Connection Setup page. In the
upper right corner, change the Type from PPPoE to Bridge. This will cause the screen to
change, see the next step.

Now go to “Type” and choose Bridge once you choose that option make sure the
following settings are shown; Now that the page has changed, type in 0 for the VPI and
35 for the VCI. Then click Apply. (if not already shown in proper box).

Step 4: Clicking apply.

When you click Apply, a small pop-up will come up stating that the Browser will try
connecting the gateway in a few seconds. This message is unimportant in our situation.
Simply click OK to bypass the message.

Step 5: Warning Screen;

After bypassing the previous message, you will receive a warning about DHCP. Simply
click it off and proceed to the next step.

Step 6: DHCP Configuration

Now that you have bypassed both pop-up messages, click on DHCP Configuration
under LAN Setup. Once the page loads, select Server and Relay Off and click Apply.
Once your settings have applied, click on Save Settings from the menu on the left side of
the page.

Step 7: Resetting the modem.

Once you receive a message stating that your settings have been successfully saved, click
the Reboot link from the menu on the left side of the page. After the reboot has finished,
wait 2 minutes then check the DSL light on the modem. Is it steady? If so, you have
successfully configured your modem for Bridged Mode. If you require any further
assistance, please contact our support line at: 1-866-281-3538 Option 4.

Figure 1-1A: Internet Connection Type:

Choose “PPPoE” or similar depending or router make and model.

Example:

Now enter your password provided to you in your manual that came with your modem.

Note: It should show WAN 1: in most cases.

Your router will now connect to the internet and only use the modem to connect to
Acanac-Inc.

You must make sure you have the modems Ethernet cable plugged into the
WAN/INTERNET port of your router.

Note: The PPP light of your modem will no longer be lit. because the router is what’s
connecting to the internet and not our modem.

Now all you should be able to connect up to 4 computers to your home network enjoy
and happy surfing.
