INTRODUCTION

The Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC) was amongst the first

to receive an ‘in-principle’ approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to set up a bank in

the private sector, as part of the RBI’s liberalization of the Indian Banking Industry in 1994.

The bank was incorporated in August 1994, in the name of ‘HDFC Bank Limited’, with its

registered office in Mumbai, India. HDFC Bank commenced as a scheduled Commercial

Bank in January 1995.

Business Focus
HDFC Bank’s mission is to be a world – class Indian Bank. The bank’s aim is to build sound

customer franchises across distinct businesses so as to be the preferred provider of banking

services in the segment that the Bank operates in and to achieve healthy growth in

profitability, consistent with the bank’s risk appetite.


Scope of the study :

The scope of study is to understand the problems faced by the

bank while maintaining the market position among the competitors. With the help of

this project we can introduce new facilities and we can explore new segments of

customers with the analytical conclusion of this project. We can better understand

what our weaknesses are and what our strengths are; so that we can explore the

strengths and remove weaknesses.

OBJECTIVES OF RESEARCH:

• To know the services of the other competitor bank in Jodhpur (RAJ.)

• To know the charges various banks are charging for their services.

• It’s Comparison with different competitor bank so that it can have a rough idea

of its position in the market.

• To know the methods of banking.

• To know the banking and financial terms used in day-to-day life and which

plays an important role in our life.


RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

 Primary Data:
Primary data will be collected by using survey method, survey conducted
will be door to door selected on basis with the help of open and closed
end questionnaires of use a randomly.

 Secondary Data :
Secondary Information will be collected from Magazines, News Paper
and Internet & other sources.

 Tools For Data Collection:
