INTRODUCTION:
The Indian rural market today accounts for only about Rs 8 billion
(53 per cent - FMCG sector, 59 per cent durables sale, 100 per cent
agricultural products) of the total ad pie of Rs 120 billion, thus
claiming 6.6 per cent of the total share. So clearly there seems to be
a long way ahead.Hindustan Lever Limited (HLL) is top of the mind
with their successful rural marketing projects like 'Project Shakti'
and 'Operation Bharat'. The lynchpin HLL's strategy has been to
focus on penetrating the market down the line and focusing on price
point.
TOOLS USED:
Questionnaire
Interviews
FINDINGS:
Almost 90% of the dealers think that they are getting less
profit in Nokia than other companies. Regarding to my survey,
the truth behind this fact is that there is too much Nokia
dealers in the market. That’s why excessive competition
lowers the selling price of Nokia in the market as there is no
minimum selling price is given by the company. So in search
for more profit they are selling mobiles other than Nokia.
Most of the customers and dealers think that the after sales
service of Nokia is too much slow and time-taking.
Almost 50% of the dealers say that the Nokia sale falls in
recent past.
Almost all the dealers want the time of price drop adjustments
to be extended to 2-3
