At the time of evaluation, make a note of specifications of each

system and display it at concerned locations

Carry a technical specification sheet for the vehicle

Presentation: 50 points

Objective

The objective of the Presentation is for the team to

convince the “executives” of a hypothetical manufacturing
company tto purchase

and put it into production at the rate of 4000 units per
y
year.

For the purposes of the presentation you may assume

that the judges are a mixed group of corporate
executives who may have experience in marketing,
production, and finance as well as engineering.

To save our mother Earth & Environment

We need to consume least possible energy since

energy generation consumes scarce natural
resources & also g
generates emissions.

We need to produce least emissions from the usage

of all types of equipments used in our day to day
life.

We should use all recyclable and bio-degradable

materials to keep our environment clean.

BAJA WORKSHOP 23 JULY 2010 - MUMBAI

What can we do in the BAJA vehicle?
Reduce total energy consumption:

† In the manufacturing if each & every part of the

vehicle.
vehicle

† In assembling / end of line testing of the vehicle.

† In regular usage / running of the vehicle:

Min. fuel & oil consumption

Min. maintenance & requirement of spare parts.

Least exhaust emissions & noise to keep environment

friendly & green

p
Optimum life of the vehicle

BAJA WORKSHOP 23 JULY 2010 - MUMBAI

What can we do in the BAJA vehicle?

Reduce total energy consumption:

† Recycle ability consideration at the end of life of vehicle

recyclable metallic parts

recyclable glass plastic & rubber parts

Non-recyclable material used in the vehicle
